Deep down I think Iāve been avoiding all that back and forth troubleshooting. The value of having this thing internet connected is so low Iām not sure itās worth the effort.
Just wanted to say my truck has been powering my sump pump all day long through this crazy storm weāve been getting up here in Maine. Itās a great feeling being able to go to sleep tonight and not having to worry about my basement flooding.
Nice job Ford!
Iāve only used 1% of the battery in...
6. Not sure why you have Siri turned offā¦ perhaps you should try it again. CarPlay is a better UI than Ford and other automakers have been able to create. So yes, I like it. Saves me from having to pick up my phone to perform all kinds of phone tasks while driving. I think you can use CarPlay...
Yes I expect itās quite a challenge for the 5kW heater they put in the truck.
Ford sold it with an 80A charger though, which works out to 19,200kW of power. The heater could have been oversized (or they could have put two heaters in) so they could heat both, faster.
Edit:
Anyway, this is all...
The only advantage to going with the full 80A is if you need to charge āquicklyā at home. 40A is totally fine, especially if you donāt drive more than ~150 miles a day. At 80A I can add about 45% in three hours, which isnāt really that fast but itās a lot cheaper than DCFC.
I agree with another...
Couldnāt agree more! The logic should be this,
User remote starts truck:
IF plugged in, precondition battery and cabin
ELSE precondition cabin
Departure times are great but I take plenty of trips where I know when Iām leaving 20 minutes before, but not an hour before.
FFS Ford, this isnāt hard!
I drove two hours to my dealer only for them to tell me they didnāt have some stupid fasteners they needed. They had the bar itself.
Oh well, at least they replaced my wiper motor.
