I had the same pop-up today. I had no updates available and didn't do any updating. I wonder if this was a message that was accidentally sent to anyone driving at that time? I was navigating to home through Google maps, not a charger and had 71% battery.
Mine worked this time, but it sent me a notification that the truck was preconditioned 5 minutes AFTER I drove away from the house. Also, my radio presets were also reset. Can't believe this is still an issue for them.
Good observation. I think I'll wait until the next OTA and see if it's successful before I complain, unless the overwhelming consensus is that I complain and get the correct part installed.
Sheesh, 1800 just for the subwoofer upgrade. I'm hearing now how cheap the cardboard speakers are throughout the truck. I'd want to replace everything.

Even if you're right, and all CHARGING to 100% each day does is lower your range over TIME, why would anyone want to do that if they KNEW there was a way to keep the range BETTER?

There's nothing wrong with plugging it in every night, with the added bonus that you can get battery preconditioning and cabin comfort going every morning before you leave for work, if you set the departure time.
