As @Firn pointed out - not a big deal safety-wise - but a bummer if you walk away thinking it's charging and someone yoinks the cord - causing charging to stop.
FWIW, I'm OK with OP using this thing - just check up on the plug FREQUENTLY.
I've had a LEGIT brand (GE) charger melt the outlet. Someone noted "cheap Home Depot" outlet - yeah, best to get something better than consumer grade 14-50R, but even then, check those contacts - unplug ang plug it...
I noticed after a recent software update that a lot of chargers I use regularly are not showing up, and a lot more Ford dealers.
After drilling into menus on the NAV app, I saw that the default was set to "Ford network only". Unchecked that box and selected "roaming chargers" and now I see...
They are really the only 2 options where I road-trip, so OK, "Dualopoly" :) If I ever receive my Ford NACS adapter, then I can look at Tesla prices (just one Magic-dock in my route) .
Either way, I know the F150 is not super efficient when it comes to MPG-E, but it still smarts when I can...
I always charge at home, decent rates, something like $.17
I just literally did a trip and had to charge at Electrify America - $.56
Holy Hat! $56!! Sticker shock. WTF?
Talk about Monopoly.
You are correct - Upon closer inspection, the map is updated 2023, but the data is from 2020.
Use the second link and apply the >250KW filter and it is more accurate. Thanks for that catch.
This is great news and all, kind of sucks that it's restricted to >V3. Here's a map of V3 chargers - happy to have access to them, but compared to ALL Tesla superchargers, it is a slight disappointment.
[EDIT - the link below is using outdated data - thanks to @queuewho for pointing that out -...
I've consistently seen the same on my ER at an EA charger in upstate NY. It is(was) with that exact charger model you show in the picture. EA has since "upgraded" the charger to a newer style with a smaller screen and different interface with fancy LED lighting, and my peak is about 3/4 of what...
I really need one of these - but I hope it is not too long - I only need one that is about 2-3 feet to help me out at those Tesla Superchargers.
Like this for NCAS (but not $600!!!)

How do you get it replaced under warranty, do you need to schedule an appointment with the dealer or is it more like a tv, where you can call and ship it back for a replacement?
The problem with the "Sweet spot" is that is silly to have to "know" where it is. It reminds me a LOT of Tesla Model S early models that required you to know where the "sweet spot" was to close the frunk - if you were off by a few inches, you'd permanently damage(as in dent)the aluminum hood...
Yes, I too have the problem where an excessive amount of pressure is required to press on the door to open it. The whole door flexes in the process. I can see it failing in a year or two's time especially if I use it every day(unlike a gas filler door - one or twice a week?).
Also, I get...
Everything you said x 10. This should be a chain letter we send to all the people working at all the charging companies, lobbyists, and people involved in "planning" the National charging network.
Anything less that what you mentioned is just not gonna cut it.
WRG to the comment about oil companies and ev chargers - I noticed on a recent trip to upstate NY that there were a lot of Sunoco gas station sponsored DCFCs just off the interstate.
