Dang. The enshitification of the Flash trim continues. A $70k vehicle with base model black plastic door handles? Come on Ford.
At least they’re making PAAK an option for the lower trims. That should have been standard from the beginning.
Price sells cars. Want to know why GM’s EV sales are going bonkers? Check out their crazy lease incentives.
Ford’s offers in Q1 & Q2 have been weak compared to last year. We’re past the point of people paying over sticker for these trucks. They need to get back to discounts to move them.
Unless gas prices unexpectedly rise, I feel like the Lightning isn’t getting a second generation as an EV.
The Lightning pro may continue as a fleet option but I feel like the next generation of Lightning will be a PHEV or EREV like the new Ram. Even though very few people actually tow or do...
It’s a classic need vs want situation. You obviously don’t NEED the truck, but if you want it and you can afford it, go for it! It’s a great truck, especially as a daily driver because of the frunk and how well it drives.
Only you know your financial situation.
It’s because there is no efficiency. It’s cuts for the sake of cuts with no thought given. But if you’re looking to evade taxes and not get audited you probably think it’s great! ?
They can’t walk away from EVs unless they only want to sell cars in the USA. The world is moving on without us.
Ford will slow down, offer more bridge tech like hybrid, PHEV, and EREV but they won’t give up completely.
I hope the lightning lives on at least as an EREV vehicle until they can...
I agree, this is some BS. I think the IRS deadline was a little short, but dealers are absolutely at fault here.
Sadly, I don’t see someone prevailing in court without something in writing from the dealer saying the customer would get the credit. It’s going to be an uphill battle for sure but...
If you bought your vehicle in 2024 and the dealer did their part properly, you would have received a letter from the IRS listing the VIN and date of sale along with instructions on how to file.
If you didn’t get this IRS letter in early January the dealer probably screwed up and you’re most...
If that was the case they would also change the batteries on the Lariat and Platinum, but they aren’t. It’s purely a cost cutting move on the Flash. Maybe it’s to increase profits, maybe there will be a cut to MSRP. Nobody knows yet.
