Not a beta tester. Received email. FordPass, and notification on truck (7/11 build week Platinum) screen the 3.5.5 update was available. No issues loading, GOM appears to give a little more distance when I do the math: current range / current percent charge. I have had PAAK since delivery...
I have had backup code working for about a month. I strumbled on it going thru the settings and followed the instructions. No issues getting it to work and I have tested it accidentally a couple times. Nice feature. The truck knows when you use the door pillar keypad and does not detect you...
I was reading threads here trying to figure out how to protect my Lightning and ran across Securialerts in FordPass. After trying to figure out what “I” was doing wrong I finally chatted with FordPass. Here’s their response. ( 7/14/22 build. 8/30 delivered/purchased Platinum.)

Breathing life back to this thread. Yes, you can drive the truck with only a “backup code”. Delivered 8/30 platinum. You can set a backup code and when you access the truck using the door Pilar touch pads and access code and the truck sees no key fob or PAAK when you press the brake and start...
I received a survey from FordPass today asking me to come back and start using the app again. Doh! I have 5 vehicles in there and use the app multiple times a day. Does this tell you anything? Other than maybe they also pulled user data 2 years ago to survey?
I “heard” activating begins the 3 year free use period. Not sure what alls covered or not covered or what there is but I’ve tried activating been rejected, tried again and now waiting while the truck sits in Salem, Illinois. 867 miles from its future home.
I read thru the latest ABRP release update. The ABRP description is detailed in outlining screen what features were involved and the improvement. I don’t have my Lightning or Mach E and reading the posts here with the Ford release update details are to me insulting at best.
C’mon Ford...
It’s like the old “curb feelers” from the 50’s when streets started getting concrete curbing and everyone kept banging into them. Except, the antennae warns the guys standing up with their heads out the sunroof to duck quickly in a parking garage, going into the local DQ drive thru, or picking...
Interesting. I assume this is what “we” used to call “friendly user trials”. My former employer would use employees who had the widget but our product did not have an initial first cost of $40-100k! Part of testing before released for general availability, ie, pushed to production.
Not that I have read anywhere. Which is why I brought those items here. Early wrecks and assists to avoid wrecks in the Mach E’s reported screen flashes on the “tablet” which appeared to be recordings but there was never any proof posted to validate anything but “glitchy software”.
Definitely a hard pass on that one. This could be the one reason I stop being a loyal ford guy since ‘75. My first truck was A ‘70 F100, 3 on the tree with a 360. Still have my 2 tone ‘84 F250 and ‘99 F350, Taurus and 2 other super duty’s. Hell, I even have a ‘69 Ford tractor.
A couple items from the Mach e forum I have not seen here are:
Sentry Mode and utilizing 360 view cameras for dash cam instead of an add on. Anyone heard about these 2 being “fixed” for the lightening?
I have a ‘20 super duty limited that cost $90k with 360 view / more cameras than I can...
