I pulled the VINs from some of the earliest F150L listings on Cars.com in an attempt to decode the numbers on the window sticker. Help me figure out their significance on the sticker I attached below!
1. Seems to be (mostly) sequential by blend date
2. Doesn't appear sequential by blend date
3. Blend date
4. Doesn't appear sequential by blend date
5. The numerator appears to be sequential. The denominator can be shared with multiple dates and is not sequential. There can be multiple denominators on a single date.
6. This number is shared between multiple dates and is not sequential
7. Not sure
8. The "7164" is the order number for this window sticker. The dealer mannequins all have 'f001' as their order number. You can use this number and the VIN at the online tracker to see order status. It works better if your in an incognito tab for some reason.
9. "SPECIAL ORDER" means it's a retail (customer) order. Interestingly, a dealer in Draper, UT, has three retail units that were built in Mid-March!!!
I looked at the order status of several of the earlier orders. Although assembly has started based on the module information on the AsBuilt page, the status doesn't indicate "built" or "shipped." I assume this means they're on a QC hold pending an OK to Buy release.
Here's the order status associated with this VIN:
