Great video. Thank you. Gave me the MFU particulars. 5h 45min draws 66A on power supply. What is the small icon in the right lower corner of the dash display. Starts our red, then green with check. Then the icon goes away.

Red shows an occupant in the seat without the seatbelt , the green check mark is they clicked in the seatbelt.

Thanks. I doubt I’d have figured that out on my own.

With the IPC MFU what is the recommended settings for 720-12-02 ?
I am having no issues with 2880 80– but do not know if that is the preferred or most informative view on the dash for a 23 Lightning Lariat with PPOB & Max Tow.

HUZZAH! for my 2023 XLT Option 312A.

After the 6 hour module firmware upload was complete I loaded the 2024 IPC.AB file and

- THEN, per a great post back in this thread, I took note of new data in lines 720-13-01, 720-13-02 and 720-14-01,

- then restored my Factory (IPC).AB file and finally

- then manually changed values in just these three lines back to the new (2024) values.

In a final step I cleared all the many weirdo DTCs which had accumulated during the hours-long module firmware upload, and I now have the new IPC info on my 12-inch screen while having preserved all my previous FORSCan IPC modifications like glare-free and lane change clicks etc. etc.

Many handshakes to the experimenters who have gone before me in this thread!

...and here are several resulting new IPC and APIM screens with the new 2024 software working on a 2023 XLT with a 12-inch screen... the APIM charging screen has one small graphic change while the IPC has several good improvements, under the speedometer with much more advanced Drivers' Assist icon shapes and colors, and in the top center with a nice "Distance Following" graphic of two Lightnings in silhouette. Pls note that my DC Fast charging rate (shown) does not show the amps while my AC Level 2 charging rate (not shown) does show amps as well as kW.

If you put the Driver Assist in the center area (where you have the tire pressure showing) then you get the full size version of the lane keep/adaptive cruise icon from under the speedometer.

Yes, of course... but then I'd be missing the TPMS safety screen while I drive.

So now a week after I upgraded my IPC thanks to the many comments of the smart predecessor posters on this thread, I have to say the new improved IPC is indeed a better User Experience IPC. The details are many and some are subtle... and overall the six hours of software uploading pain was IMHO definitely worth it.

So I finally performed the upgrade yesterday. Started at 1:23pm with a beautiful sunny bay area day and ended at 7:14pm with a canopy over my truck because I had rolled all the windows down and its started sprinkling.

The flashing went well, however after applying the 2024_IPC.ab, I am still getting DTC's on many other modules. Was hoping I was going to be one of those lucky ones that that's it, Done. I didn't do anything else last night other than rearranging the cars in the drive way.

This morning (11am) I went to the truck to check again and selected the original profile before the update and then tried again without selecting the original profile and the log was shorter but same number of DTC's (10 to be exact).

I bought the truck in April 10th used. Don't know if previous owner did any modifications. I did backup all of the ABs before the upgrade (36 total). I had not done any modifications on the truck with FORScan before the IPC upgrade.

I do see on page 3 (Post #43) of this thread about all the differences that PJnc284 user found. He, like I, have a '23 Lariat...

1st Q - Do I have to get a 24 Lariat ab as well and still do all the diffrences?

2nd Q - DTC's in other modules are just changes as well? One user posted he "cleared" them all out but didn't write down how.

3rd Q - Will I have to make sure all the other modules are up to date firmware wise?
3.5th Q - Can someone check for me? I just had Ford tech come out for the recall update a month ago.

4th Q - Was selecting the original profile vs making a new one a necessary step? Should I still use the original or new?

As Jesse said, always clear all DTC's, before and after you do ANYTHING. I do this often and re-read immediately to get your baseline. I have a few DTC's from things like removing the frunk beeper, different lightning, etc. These are DTCs that will re-set within seconds of clearling all. You should know your truck and what (non-MIL) DTCs are normal.

Aside from the DTC stuff. The IPC firmware update to allow charge speed to display, there is a dependency of firmware revision level on 2 other modules, the SOBDMC and PCM. If you post your module info for those modules here I can check this for you. Hopefully you thought to ask the Ford tech who did your recent recall work to update all your modules. Most techs will for free if you sweet talk them.

Thank you. Just needed to figure it out on the UI

Sadly that happened before I started to look into the software/firmware side of things. Had I known then what I know now 😔 I'll post them a bit later once I get home. Went to do a call and charged at a EA charger and it's there now and everything else is working normally. BC on the freeway was fine.

The log you posted is showing a U2101 code in the IPC which is incompatible config. Are you sure that you flashed the ab file correctly? I've made the mistake before where I load the ab file but I forget to hit the write button after.

Edit: Oh, didn't notice you said everything is fine now. Glad to hear.
