Has anyone heard confirmation that the Pro Power Onboard outlets will be usable when the truck is charging? Being able to do both at the same time would be highly desirable in a number of situations. Trailer camping with full hookups using the hookup to charge the truck and using the 220V bed outlet to power the trailer. Tailgating while connected to a DC charger. Topping off the truck batteries at a worksite while actually continuing to use the power outlets to, uh, work. I can't imagine the engineers would be stupid enough to disable the outlets when the vehicle is charging but I've come across electronic equipment that is non-functional when charging so I thought I'd ask.

I raised the same question... https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/limited-lightning-tow-range.3696/post-58896

It would be fantastic to choose a campsite with full hookups, within say 100 miles or so, then you know you don't have to find a charging station that can accommodate pull thru or dedicate multiple hours or your trip to taking your truck to charge. Add on the generator range extender and you have the ideal camping beast! (if payload permits)

I hope Ford has accounted for this. My guess is the ProPower system is on separate circuitry from the charging system but we haven't seen schematics yet. I can tell you that the Mach E can run on accessories and do many common functions (not drive of course) while charging.

This will be a good questions to ask the engineers when they start doing webinars to promote the truck.

If you have a source to charge then use that for the accessories vs. the truck. The batteries do wear down so you would only want to use the truck to power equipment when there is no other source.

Charge the truck at night when you don't need the other power tools or share the utility power source with the tools and the truck vs using the trucks battery.
