Help, I want to add aftermarket wheels (rims) to my Lariat. Keep it simple

Friends, please forgive my ignorance on this subject. My 21 Lariat is in transit & will be coming in early August. Like many of you, I’m wanting to replace the factory 18” rims with something sportier. For example, I’ve got my eyes on some Fuel Rebel 6 wheels. Love the way they look. My truck comes with 265/60R 18” tires. My confusion/questions are as follows. Can’t I simply put these tires on new the Fuel Rebel 6 wheels? Also, I don’t understand when a leveling or lift kit is needed nor do I understand the difference between a level vs a lift kit. Basically, what I’m asking is should I be able to 1) use my stock tires on a Fuel wheel upgrade & 2) will this require a level or lift kit?

Oh man this is a LOT to unpack.

You said you want a “sportier” wheels. What does sporty mean to you? Do you have any examples of what you’re interested in?

It’s unlikely you will want to re-use your tires depending on the look you’re going for.

A “leveling kit” is going to level the tire to fender gap(raise the front), although it may not get it perfectly level depending on the size of the kit. This is a picture of my gaps in stock form.

Whereas a “lift” will raise the front and rear of truck, usually much more expensive.

Both lifts and levels are basically done to fit bigger tires and wheels.

Offset or “poke” is gonna be the biggest determining factor of what wheel/tire combo will fit.
