I have always liked to install Bull Ring anchors in the stake pockets of my 6.5’ bed F150s in the past. When I went to throw them into my brand new ‘25 Lightning, I was a bit miffed that the front pocket holes didn’t even have the knockouts.

I don’t like things that look hacked up or aftermarket on my trucks so here is how I proceeded with my installation.

I reused the rear stake pocket covers to create a spacer for the front Bull Ring anchors so they sit nicely over the raised side rail textured parts.

- Drywall router makes the holes in 2 seconds if you have access to that kinda tool.
- Tin snips to cut a back cover insert in half and trim it out
- Utility knife to trim and clean up details
- Spare chunk of rubber to make spacers underneath the plastic rail covers so they don’t get squashed down (I tried without, looked like crap)
- Small stainless screws hold the filler in place for the rest of the installation.

I hope aome of you guys find this useful!

I love the Ford bull rings on trucks. So useful!

I mounted my four bull rings almost like You did, about a year ago. I used the rear knockout cover to template the hole shapes for the front knockouts (er... "drill / Dremel outs").

It's written up in an old thread here.

Thanks for the post and pictures Pascal - I'm going to do the same on my truck.
I’m happy to help if you have any questions but it’s rather simple. 15 minutes is all it took, I did have the tools handy in my trailer next to me.

I debated trying to figure out how to do this as I had BullRings on my 2013 F-150 and they were very useful. But I'm not good at cutting a straight line, and wouldn't go as far as Pascal did, so I simply installed this, which has lots of cleats...
