If I remember correctly, my buyout at end-of-term will be ~$46,000 CDN. Unless circumstances significantly change for me, I don't think a $10K difference would persuade much. This is assuming that the truck continues to be reliable and well maintained (which is has been). Plus, as the first...
Yes I plan on keeping my Lightning and will be buying it out after the lease in 2028. Ford has explicitly stated that they will continue to support SYNC4 and have parts on-hand into the foreseeable future which is required by law.
Just because the Lightning has been discontinued, it doesn't...
My criticism of the Rav4 and CUVs overall is more to do with how they're seen as utilitarian commuter vehicles that attract people who don't care much for driving - thus are less careful on the road.
You can build and run a profitable organization with exciting products too.
I'm all in on EVs and am grateful that there are some OEMs that are putting out new vehicles, but I've never been excited about the R2. It's just a small CUV that attract the wrong kind of drivers - the type that are attracted to Toyota Rav4s and Honda CRVs 🤮.
With Rivian I'm more interested in...
As I've said elsewhere I think the 3rd party apps and navigation functionality is overrated. Sync4 isn't perfect but in the year and a half of having my Lightning it has improved well enough that it can be fully relied on.
Most of the necessary data and information is on SYNC4, just need to...
I had similar issues with the Ford App this afternoon.
I logged out but couldn't log back in, so I restarted my phone and was able to log-on. Almost everything is working, except I have to reprovision my keys to get PAAK to work again. Will do that tomorrow.
If Ford is practising good financial management, the development costs for supporting SYNC4/4A should be baked into the cost of the truck. Plus there are other still-in-production vehicles like the MachE that will help prop up ongoing support and improvements for the Lightning's infotainment stack.
Thanks for the report.
This is consistent with my observations in below 0-degrees C weather. If my truck is sitting, it'll draw about 2.2kWh at 6-hour intervals over a 24-hour period. It'll break out of that cycle if I happen to drive it that day or if it is a slightly warmer day above...
I have a 2024 Canadian and from what I can recall right now, the gap between icons has been that way for me since day 1, with no changes to activate glare-free lighting.
The icon gap is the same whenever auto high beams are activated (I think the high beam icon changes from green to blue when...
What are you trying to understand about Tesla's software exactly? It's very clean, user friendly, information is prioritized, and it is quite learnable as well as intuitive without having to read an instruction guide. The integration between the app, vehicle, and Supercharger network is amazing...
I got the above notification for the first time 2-weeks ago. From my observations I believe I triggered a low 12V battery SOC due to looking at the Ford app several times throughout the day and the outside welcome lights being triggered a few times.
Haven't seen the low 12V battery SOC notice...
Thank you Brian (@Ford Motor Company) for the update - this is greatly appreciated.
Regarding the announcement itself I'm deeply disappointed in the news that Ford has succumb to the misinformation brought on by the oil lobby, mass media, and the loud anti-EV minority out there. This is...
I prefer the SYNC 4 navigation in spite of its shortcomings, but after the most recent update that includes Superchargers it is much more usable as a result. Would be nice if you could set preference weights to various CPOs to place them at the highest priority first as I prefer to exclusively...
