EV sales currently vary by region. My local (rural NC) hometown independent family owned dealer currently has 8 gas or hybrid F-150s and 5 electric Lightnings on their lot. They say the gas models are selling but no one has cracked a door open on the Lightnings. (They also have 11 new Mach E's)...
Caution on TuxMat - they don't seem like they will hold up like WeatherTech or Husky. Photo shows just a few months of use. I expected better durability for the money!
I'm in Pinehurst and purchased from Cooper Ford in Carthage, NC. So far (12k miles) I haven't needed service, but it's discouraging to think Crossroads Southern Pines wouldn't work on my truck since I didn't buy it there! Is Evin Myrick still there? He used to help me with my 2009 F-150.
Why would it cost a lot more? My Emporia 40A pulls 9kW and charges around 22 miles per hour, while my 120V mobile pulls 1.3kW and charges around 3 miles per hour. So yes the mobile charger will run longer, but pull correspondingly lower power.
Out of curiosity I got a Carvana quote for $45k on 23 Pro 10k miles; local dealer has a new ER Pro (fleet order that fell through so now available for retail) in work truck white and said they would match the $45k Carvana offer, but it would be another $15k to step up into the big battery so...
