fair enough! maybe you have that update already then. i think i read on some post or another a rumor of having the pieces of the original 10.3 update repackaged into other updates so maybe you got it!
I had a minute or two above 170 kW at a RAN charger earlier this week, but that was still only 450A, i just started at a high SoC / voltage.
Ohms law, Watts = volts * amps. 170 kW @ 450 A just means our packs are at ~377V. That same pack voltage @ 500A would be ~188 kW
Plug and charge would be an excellent feature if it connected to subscriptions.
Or, if for some reason Ford canāt figure that out, how about enabling plug & charge Only on specific networks. I.e. leave off Tesla and/or EA and leave on for any network you donāt have a subscription to.
I experience this too, but i think there is a simpler fix than what has been discussed so far:
1 - navigate on truck screen to phone settings
2 - choose the phone currently on wireless carplay
3 - hit the CarPlay button (switch from blue to white)
4 - re-open the same phone in the truck ->...
Iām trained on using ABRP then setting destination via Apple Maps.
Recently, Apple Maps is actually good on its own as it sends you to superchargers and seems to choose the same route as ABRP for my trips anyway. Definitely still +1 for checking tesla and PlugShare or ABRP to assess...
Do you happen to know what software updates youve received? Apple maps integration was added in I think 6.3.
do you have your truck connected to your home WiFi and is the 12V > 85%? Iād assume youād have gotten that update by now but if not giving the truck a chance to catch up could be...
Yours matches my experience for suburban driving. Very efficient at grocery, sports, Home Depot, etc runs. Anything faster and the aerodynamics govern.
whats the total elevation gain/loss for that trip? Even a little net gain shows up as poorer (or greater) efficiency for a leg.
additionally, āno windā is pretty rare. even if its < 5mph but its a headwind you were riding up that exponential drag curve more.
finally, 58F is still low enough...
Handle success, lock or unlock, seems totally unrelated to PAAK for me. Handles are always a 50/50 proposition in my experience.
PAAK with iPhone 12 then 16 on the other hand works 99% of the time for me. Very occasionally a FordPass reboot is needed but otherwise my PAAK experience is very good.
Also curious. Iām not towing but Iāve made a loop recently several times coming up from MD to Buffalo via US 15, then over to Fredonia NY and back down through central PA again via Jamestown NY and Warren PA.
There is definitely a charging desert in kind of Mid to NW PA in the Allegheny...
try listening when youāre next to a wall or in your garage. Itās a little subtle and you (at least I) canāt really hear it with the windows down unless there is a large object to reflect the sound back into the cab nearby.
Iāve had a similar experience. I chalked it up to the freshly rotated tires wearing in a bit, but now that you mention it it seems possible the steering feel is changing a bit over time?
