Super interesting plot. My read is that itās telling us that the machine is most efficient when running at maximum power. That very much aligns with expectations, and other types of machines. ICE engines are most thermally efficient at wide open throttle at their design RPM for example, etc...
Got this last night.
First time an update deleted my home charge location and caused charge to 100%. Nice.

This is the part that doesnāt make sense. EREV, from Ford or Scout or anyone, seems like a low-volume model for people who do serious towing and are willing to put up with the downsides of ICE to do it.

At the size of the lightning battery, weād probably be better served by some efficiency gains than more battery. Another 0.5mi/kWh (~+25%) would add 80 mi epa range, more or less.
Tesla managed some monster efficiency gains between generations, if Ford could learn how that was done that would...
No one would disagree that ford nav leaves something to be desired. Doesnāt change the fact that an EREV could greatly benefit from route planner integration to address many of the issues raised in this thread.

Good point, that seems feasible if they are going with a somewhat small generator. If they end up having to go the reported ram route and have their fleet v6, seems like the packaging would be a challenge down there.

Keep in mind that an EREV F-150 will have access to the route planner (read: elevation, weather data, etc).
it should be trivial for the future truck to plan to run the generator at a sufficient clip to keep sufficient battery through whatever the route plan is. Or, telling you if your route...
