update . it's not working again. Key Detection that is. suspect that it is related to PAAK but will dig deeper to document before taking in for service.
but the surprising thing is that I did not have PAAK enabled. I had deleted my phones connection. but the password was still active. Is is possible to add a password without enabling PAAK? in any case adding the backup password is something all should do

update: it's working again. not sure why. Troubleshooting I disconnected my phone from PAAK. Key Detect still not working. turned KD off and back on. Still not working. Turned it off again and drove the truck for perhaps a week. Turned KD back on. now it works! ?????? What happened...
I drive my wife's Honda Pilot every once in a while and after using 1PD for so long it shocks me every time how her car keeps going with my foot removed from the pedal! I have to constantly use the brake... which I almost never touch on the lightning.
interesting.. Mine runs out in September and I was going to let it expire as I use google maps via android auto. will follow this thread to see if others notice simliar things. $8 a month isn't much but there needs to be a reason to keep it and android auto improvements seem to negate that
