No, I have never even used any of the Pro Power outlets or even the USB outlets. I use wireless Apple CarPlay and the induction charging pad for my phone while driving. I added some fun vinyl graphics but left everything else stock. I used to professionally install remote starts, custom audio...
I will mention it to them. There haven’t been any issues with my sound system, but I will not leave any stone unturned at this point.
There is an engineer from Ford physically at the dealership right now helping them troubleshoot.
Another 9 days without any progress. I am trying to be patient and not bother them. They gave me a loaner, which I have put almost 1500 miles on (I drive a lot for work), and which has cost me more in gas than I spend on any three months of electricity for my entire house.
We were contacted by...
My Lightning has now been at the dealer for another week with no resolution or progress. After having it back for less than 24 hours, I got the same message about an electrical system drain. On six out of the eight days it has been at the dealer, my FordPass App has given me the same alert.
Well, less than 36 hours after bringing my Lightning back home, I got the same “Electrical system drain. Service required.” message. The truck is going back to the dealer on August 25th. I will post updates on the adventure when I have them.🙁

Apparently the TCU (Telematics Control Unit?) had gone bad and was intermittently waking up other modules in the truck...
I appreciate the feedback. There is literally nothing plugged in. Not even a plain USB cable. I have an 87-mile drive to work. The first time I got the message was while the truck was plugged in at home. The second time (after replacing the 12V battery) was while the truck was parked at work. I...
Hello,
I have a ‘23 Platinum with just over 36k miles. A couple of months ago, I had a message come through the app and then on screen when I next got into my truck saying there was an electrical system drain, and service was required. I took it to my dealer, and they tested and replaced my 12V...
It was done by a wrap shop. We could have chosen a reflective color (or just about any color imaginable), but we liked that this matched the factory color of the lightning wording on the side and logo on the tailgate. It was only $200 for the material and labor.
We wanted to add some nice accents to the big canvas provided by our Lightning. The guy at our local shop was able to match the accent color from the Lightning emblems and give us a way to stand out without going over the top.
On my 23 Platinum, they covered replacing the grille under warranty because the film was bubbling up in an area away from where there were rock chips. I would be interested to know if anyone has a good solution for protection or a replacement that is more durable, since I am guessing this will...
I have had the Weathertech Impact Liner for a year now and been very happy with it: https://www.weathertech.com/impactliner-ford-f-150lightning.html?year=2023
