  1. Illinois 18" XLT Pro F150 Lightning Wheels for sale stock "snowflake" with bad tires - 250 for the 2 good wheels

The cracked aluminum rim is worth about $20-30 at your local recycling scrap yard. It doesn't need to be patched up by an aluminum welder and put back in service. It would be dangerous to drive on, and could crack again when put on a tire changing machine. How would you like to buy a used rim...
  2. Late to the EV Truck game which one to get?

I have a '23 XLT, SR. I love my truck. It has many great features. It's great to drive. I plan on keeping it as long as I can. I hope some day someone offers up a replacement battery with 500 miles of range that weighs as much or less than a SR battery.... the SR battery is heavy...
  3. If you were a Ford designer, what would you change on the F-150?

The light bar could be modified by masking off all but 3/8". Another idea for modifying the light bar is masking off the very middle part and allowing the top and bottom 1/4" to show. Using this design allows the top and bottom part of the light bar to merge with the part of the light bar over...
  4. If you were a Ford designer, what would you change on the F-150?

You'll probably like the new mid-size. Personally, I love the full-size F150. It's the same size as the other full size trucks.
  5. If you were a Ford designer, what would you change on the F-150?

The grill. Add chrome to the simulated grill pattern. Or get creative with matching paint. The back grill is like the design team gave up on finding a good design. Obviously the black grill choice was a big cost savings for Ford.
  6. Replaced Charging Station, tripped meter breaker again.

The problem is downstream of the meter breaker but before the breaker that supplies your charger. So the items in play for causing the problem are: the surge protector, the wiring to the meter breaker, and issues with the meter breaker. For starters, temporarily disconnect the surge protector...
  7. Why Did My Dash Display Change After OTA Update?

Thanks for helping me understand what the changes in my range display means. Using your suggestions, I was able to use the Menu controls on the steering wheel to move to the Main Menu and select Navigation, and then cancel the set destination. Now my dash display is back to the way it used...
  8. Why Did My Dash Display Change After OTA Update?

Thanks. I didn't think I set a destination. Maybe I did? I'll go into navigation and try to see if I set a destination. Is there an easy way to clear all destinations?
  9. Why Did My Dash Display Change After OTA Update?

My dassh screen changed after an OTA update, and I don't understand what info it's trying to tell me. Please help me understand. I've included before and after pictures of my display from different time periods. I marked up the areas that changed. The "166" number stays the same. I was...
  10. Little less black at the front

I like it. Looks professional. Some people have used paint also. Also, some people only painted the black piece in the middle. Either way looks good. I agree, Ford should have not made the grill all black. I would have preferred a chromed grill along the simulated wire-grill ridges...
  11. Bad Smell Coming From Air Vents

It's more likely the results of your stinking joke radiating from your post. 😛
  12. Bad odor from A/C.

I believe I found the source of the foul smelling coming from my vent. I took the cabin air filter out to check it for mold or signs of a mouse nest. Of course it is located behind the glove box. I ended up finding a total of 4 stink bugs crawling on my filter. I actually found two on the...
  13. Lightning E-Rev 690 to 700 mile range

One nice thing about the F150 EREV, is the Electric Lightning lives on. There is the possibility that Ford can easily go back to BEV F150's when batteries evolve to solid state and are lighter. The packs will be cheaper to manufacture, and easily last 500 miles. BEVs are the future.
  14. Bad Smell Coming From Air Vents

You have helped me understand the nature of the beast. Great information and great YouTube video that explains in detail how the HVAC works in a Lightning. I tried to use a borescope to see the evaporator through the filter slot and squirrel-cage fan, but the tolerances were too tight. The...
