So when the Tesla stations first opened up for Ford EVs to use, I recall that ABRP would show you the capacity and the availability of the charging stations for the Tesla location you were planning to charge at... so if it was more than 1/2 full, you could start to find another option to avoid...
Oh yeah I had that joy too... it was horrible. And then I had to pay for all the gas! lol
The only thing I got out of driving the loaner was that it had tinted driver/passenger windows, and that was nice. So then I went and tinted the windows on my Lightning.
"Gas-guzzling EV" -- whoever said that in an earlier thread, that's spot on. I love my Lightning, and yeah I only use my bed for skis and sometimes a trash haul. Going downtown and trying to park is a PITA, so I steal my wife's car for that.
And while I love driving this amazing, big...
I got the WAL and the BC 1.4 toggles about a month ago. No BC 1.4 yet though. Wondering if I buy an FDRS license if the module will be available to update. Unfortunately Ford has cracked down on anybody else to look this up for me, as that is unauthorized “remote diagnostics”…
So if anybody has...
Yes of course, and sadly it’s the worst part of the experience. If Ford discontinues the Lightning then that would suck because it’s the best vehicle I have ever owned.
Da fuk? I had to check this out and what a mistake that would be. I get they need to make money… but the Lightning (save for the OTA nonsense) is an amazing vehicle. This would be sad, there is no other EV I would want to buy from Ford. Guess the EV gods really want me to get the Cayenne EV...

Not sure it's good ok to go in and just update these in Forscan, if there are critical module updates not yet installed?
I suppose I could just keep waiting, now...
Yay, I finally got the update. Had to threaten the system by taking it to the dealer to check the LVB, because for weeks nothing was going through. I finally gave up trying to push it, always getting the dreaded failed to update message every morning.
I guess going to the dealer smartened it up...
Same issue. Sometimes I can override and try to redo the installation. Sometimes I cannot force it to update now and it only tries in the evening per the schedule.
I have tried to force it after a long drive, no success. I have had very little luck with OTA updates, most of them I’ve had to do...
Paid version. And I bought the recommended ODBC bluetooth adapter to get real-time battery information into the app. There isn't much better than this app, although for some reason when I'm going to Tesla charging stations it doesn't properly connect to show the real-time status of the available...
