  1. What sw versions of Sync support Norwegian?

Great info Jesse! So the eu spec apims are just normal apims with different voice and map files installed? I wish there was a log somewhere telling why my car doesn’t accept OTAs. In PTS it says no ota is tried in the last 180 days. Edit: Or maybe DAB is in the eu spec apims?
  2. What sw versions of Sync support Norwegian?

SSM 53966 2021-2025 Various Vehicles - SYNC4 - General System Performance And Stability - Programming No Longer Available Some 2021-2025 Ford/ Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC4 may not be able to perform an update to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM). This may be due to the...
  3. What sw versions of Sync support Norwegian?

I have not tested FDRS, so as far as I know, it works. But APIM updates were removed from FDRS for anyone a while back. Is that still the case?
  4. What sw versions of Sync support Norwegian?

Maybe now is the time to buy a moongoose cable. The dealer is hesitant to do updates. I will continue my dialogue with Ford, and maybe they can convince the dealer to do it.
  5. What sw versions of Sync support Norwegian?

Great news! PTS shows an update for APIM now, it did not do that before. But still no OTAs, so how do I install it?
  6. Front turn signal overpowered by driving lights at night

In Europe (Norway at least) DRLs included tail lights, until EVs showed up and some bean counter did some math. 50 million cars times 5 watt pr bulb, times two lights pr car, times x hours a day. They saved the planet on removing tail lights from DRL.
  7. Forscan Configuration Viewer - Testers Needed

Great work! Is it possible to highlight only the diff in a line, and not the entire line? Now it takes a little time to find in what column the diff is.
  8. Front turn signal overpowered by driving lights at night

I fooled around in Forscan this evening. The settings for my headlights does nothing, except turning off my tail lights. And the settings for the tail lights doesn’t do anything either. I can’t dim the middle bulb, as described in the Forscan thread. I can’t get the rear taillight to blink...
  9. Front turn signal overpowered by driving lights at night

This guy inadvertently made the headlight dim on turn in his gas F150.
  10. Front turn signal overpowered by driving lights at night

Communication is the key. Make your intentions clear to other drivers, and the traffic flows easier and potential for accidents go down. I do blink into roundabouts if I am going left. So drivers on the opposite side have a chance to decide if they "will make it" before I arrive. I then don't...
  11. Front turn signal overpowered by driving lights at night

Someone actually made that sign, but it was later removed. Here are our official rules for roundabouts: https://www.vegvesen.no/trafikkinformasjon/langs-veien/trafikkregler/kjoring-i-rundkjoringer/
  12. Front turn signal overpowered by driving lights at night

Yes, thats my truck. My taillights don’t blink, as regulation requires orange turn signal in the rear as well. In the headlight, there are three lamps. The middle one, which turns orange, is the park lamp as well?
  13. Front turn signal overpowered by driving lights at night

I tested the mentioned Forscan code above, no result. Tested to disable Park Lamps as DRLs, but still no better. The park lamps/turn signal is very bright. Isn’t there a setting to adjust that somewhere?
  14. Roll bar, light bar, with rear window protection?

I want to protect my rear window from mishaps in the (truck) bed. I have the Ford retrax tonneau cover. And the car is wet and covered in salt 6 months of the year. Are there any good solutions out there?
  15. Charging in Ice Storm

I to get great satisfaction from solving problems in new ways.
