I didn’t convert my reservation after invitation, and decided to check what’s happening after Dec 4 deadline. The reservation still appears in “My reservations” but there is no order button anymore. Similarly, if I go to configurator - it says “the current model year is no longer available for...
At this point there is a spelled plan of what Ford plans to do with a lot of room for interpretation what may or may not happen.
Given past history I think there is a high probability that MY23 orders will spill out into MY24.
Jacking up the prices by Summer 2023 will give the leverage to make...
The way I read it, it’s just that most efficient dealers will get their production faster. Probably to avoid any inventory on the lot; dealerships who hoarded trucks on their lots will get gently “spanked”.
In the end of the day, seems like preorder crowd of 200k angry people will get the...
Yeah some have price drops by 5k or so. Just curious, has anyone reach out to dealers who list their stuff close to msrp on those platforms - are they actually going to honor the listed price? Or is it a classic bait and switch.
2015-16 reports were showing that Ford makes about 13k profit per each ice f150 sold. When people made that report it included all R&D costs to produce those trucks.
I wonder if recent reorganization into “separate” ev company puts R&D and costs into electric only model, putting the pressure to...
Not sure what you meant… of course everyone can do their research without investing into companies.
“As a shareholder” meaning that I have interest in following their corporate game. Everyone was happy when shares rose from $5 to $20 on the news of Lightning. Now people pointing out to me on...
As a shareholder, now I can see why the head of supply chain was elevated to CEO at Apple, not a marketing guy. Detroit companies wish to be valuated like silicone valley ones but yet make strange moves. I agree that it is not fair comparison (Apples to apples lol) however lessons of success...
I placed an order on 5/20, still waiting for the invite. I believe on 5/21 Farley tweeted they had 40-44k reservations.
@TaxmanHog had a projection that there should be 16-17k built for MY22.
Those are known variables, unknowns are how badly...
Doesn’t mean that this HAS to be this way. Ford could’ve taken the leadership, make it straight and transparent. If people have to wait, they will wait. Heck, most people here did not even squeal much about price raise by $7500, but uncertainty is what on everyone’s minds.
Parts, not necessarily chips, are plague of the whole auto industry supply chain.

This makes little sense if Ford is truly ramping up the production. But yeah, we don’t know the numbers for sure, I am just skeptical.
I agree with Benny, the definitive statement would be nice. I don’t have extra $20-30 grand to play sharades and raffles.
