I just got a text today from Ford about the 25C69 recall and they are sending someone out on Wednesday to install this update. I have a '23 Lariat ER so I'll post if/when this gets done to let everyone know if I get the "lack of software" comment too.
I found out that my battery's state of health from the initial test was 95.5%. (Truck is a '23 Lariat ER, 38,000 miles). I'm assuming that number is at least slightly low due to the fact that cell #19 was reading 75.196% SOC and the rest of the cells in module 2 were reading around 82.8% SOC...
Thanks. I asked the dealer to scan the state of health. I’m curious to see where I’m at after 38,000 miles.
Why wouldn’t someone be interested in knowing the battery SOH for a 3 year old truck that’s 38% into the warranty? Let’s say I’m at 80% now, that would be as good to know as if I’m at...
when you say only the module replacement, do you mean the series of cells within a module? Just curious if that means I'll get multiple cells replaced instead of just one, which seems like a good thing.
yep, they said it was covered, I just want to find out the battery SOH while it's in the shop. I asked them to run the test but they haven't responded yet.
Yeah, I figured that would be the case but I'm trying to see if the dealer can/will run a test to show me the actual state of health for the high voltage battery since it's already in the shop. Looks like they are gonna replace the one cell that is showing less charge than the others.
I got a video message from the Ford dealer saying i have a battery module that needs to be replaced. The truck battery percentage is at 79% now on the Ford Pass app. I'm not sure if the 82% showing as state of charge is the battery health or just what the actual "current" state of charge is...
I got in my truck this morning after having it parked all weekend plugged in to find this message. I'm gonna call Ford and "hope" they have someone who knows anything about the Lightning but I figured I'd check here first to see if anyone else has gotten this message and what it might be. I have...
I’ve noticed lately that my doors don’t unlock quickly anymore when I grab the handle. Sometimes it takes so long I end up having to grab my phone and unlock them using the app. Could this be caused by a weakened 12v battery?
