The lightning battery packs all come with 9 modules in series.
The SR is 98 kWh with (9) 4P10S modules. 333V nominal as a battery pack. 360 cells total.
The ER is 131 kWh with (8) 5P11S and (1) 5P8S. 355.2V nominal as a battery pack. 480 cells total.
The Flash is 123 kWh with (6) 5P11S and (3)...
No - Each module is somewhere in the range of 32V to 44V each. You need multiple of these modules (9) in series to get to ~350V - 400V range. You can't just take a single module out and "make it work".
Yeah there's individual modules inside the pack that can be replaced for serviceability.
Well we don't really know if it's 10% on the top end. It could be 5% on the top end and 5% on the bottom end. 0% SOC is also equally as taxing on cell life as fully charged.
Doesn't quite work that way. The current internal battery modules are in series for a total ~400V nominal voltage. To get to 32kW, Ford would have to redesign
Would peeve you more to point out that a regular class C license gets you the ability to drive a 1.5 ton truck with a 20k RV trailer?
It'd have no payload left with the current battery technology. The ER battery pack is 1800lbs which would leave you with maybe 200lbs for the driver at max payload.
You could but it'd be alot of reconfiguring of the cells in the SR pack to get it to your existing solar battery bank voltages along with a custom BMS. At that point, you're just harvesting cells. It would however be nice if I could figure out how to repurpose the onboard level 2 charger and 2...
The seat belt for the center bench seat is all packaged with the seat unless the bench seat originally came from a single cab (the center seat belt for the single cab is on the rear back wall ).
The single cab center bench seat will also be missing the rear cupholders / trim panel for USB / 12V...
Yeah I have no idea what to expect on the programming side of things.
Extended range is all I'm after. I have no need for more speed. It's stupid fast enough. I don't have the 80a Ford charger so anything above my current 48a charger a moot point for me.
Yep saw that post. The column shifter is smooth because it's not mechanically connected to the transmission. It's just a fancy electronic shifter with a motor the moves back to P if the door is opened or vehicle is turned off.
I ordered the connector to plug into the Column Shifter module from...
