Might have been mentioned but a Motorcraft brand BAGM-H3 is $102 plus approx $12 fgt and $18 core at Rock Auto. Obviously put in your discount code for 5% off.
They have stock. Just ordered one and installed. Nov 2025 date code. Perfect. Just take the core back to O'Reillys for a $10 gift card...
Well I can confirm in Western NY where we really don't get that cold (avg Jan high is 30 F) my 3 1/2 year old 75,500 mile original H3 is showing 100% SOH, 426 CCA (rated at 380).
My only concern is the number of charge cycles. If I don't drive the truck for a day and do a real short trip, the...
That's what I thought but it is out of stock and I believe getting a new supplier. My local Ford dealer is feeling it'll be at least $100 more when available again. You can't actually complete an order on it at Ford Parts.
Definitely a wise way to operate. This is first 12V I've had in an EV that made it this long. I wish H3 AGMs were $129 like H5s.
Weise is a very good aftermarket AGM for EVs but they no longer sell H3 size.
My original 3-1/2 old 12V is showing 100% SOH and 426 CCA but SOC is usually low after sitting overnight in the cold (35% or so SOC).
It works but past EV 12V experience says we are nearing the EOL. All my vehicles have a lithium jumper pack, but I'd rather not have to use it.
I wish the Ford...
I agree this is not remotely apples to apples. BC and SuperCruise are highway road trip and/or highway commute tools.
The FSD 'danger' is primarily from dumba**es who are neither car people or tech people and think it is foolproof. However, the issue is, there are a lot of dumba**es...
A demo drive alone will not tell the full story. My son has a 2024 Y and FSD has continual 'hiccups' at bad times.
Fine for the same highways as BC or SuperCruise. Around town not so much. I'd really review with your parents because anyone that can't drive better than FSD should not be driving.
I'm on my 'free' BC year after the 3 years from new expired 6/2025. I'm going to ask for continued BC since my 2022 is now a Ford model orphan with 75k miles. So far I have BC 1.2 with the turn signal tap to pass and it works great.
I've driven my son's Tesla Y with FSD and it is underwhelming...
Brian - As an original 2022 Lightning owner (75k miles) you know what would help the disappointment of Ford bailing on the Lightning? How about a $200/mo lease on a Mach-E for my wife? She drives an Ioniq 5 Ltd now but I'll go ALL Ford EV for the right price. I can be bought. PM me...
Good advice on shutting off Auto Updates. Another option is leave it on and just delay the install if it is the WAL removal (based on notes).
I know ultimately, you'd need to let it install if you want to stay in the update release flow. I already have the important ones like BC 1.4 but I know...
You would have thought that would have been mentioned. After having Honda Ridgelines before my Lightning, it was a feature I needed/wanted.
Not surprised no notes after having to delete my BlueOval completely due to a software bug with the new FP 5.18 that will not allow you to disable Plug N...
Thanks again to everyone on the forum, especially the old timers like myself (took delivery 6/10/2022).
My 3 year was set to expire 6/6/2025 - guess the dealer started the services June 6 when the truck came in vs when I took delivery.
I was able to do the 1 year extension for $0.00 starts...
I have reservation slots for both the Ramcharger and Scout Terra Harvester (EREV). I like the Scout/VW approach with a 2.0L I4 for the generator mounted over the rear axle. Keeps the frunk in play vs the Ramcharger with a 3.6L V6 Pentastar under the hood. I assume the bed of the Scout will have...
Did the remove and re-add have any effect on your Sync and vehicle settings? Some have mentioned it but I don't think that many settings would be effected.
I can deal with a re-add of PaaK as well. Most of us have done it at least a few times.
UPDATE: I did remove and add back my Lightning as...
