  1. Just ordered the Meross MSG200HK Garage door opener system - allegedly as CarPlay integration

When I approach home, one of the Carplay screens pops up a section to open the last-used door (frustratingly not both)
  2. CCS1 Adapter to NACS - Canada Specific - COME ON FORD :(

And you'll end up like me; day after you get the A2Z, the Ford one ships. Oh well, now I have a spare.

  4. Can you actually get the screen's clock to stay in 24-hour mode?

Auto-updates are scheduled, and while I'm in Canada and the SOC display took nearly a year after the Americans got it, there was a flurry of them a few months ago but nothing recently. (Can't actually tell you the latest update right now.) ... either way this isn't a bug that should exist at...
  5. Can you actually get the screen's clock to stay in 24-hour mode?

I don’t have PAAK on the XLT, but I do use departure times and app unlocking…….
  6. Can you actually get the screen's clock to stay in 24-hour mode?

okay, good to know I’m not alone. So it’s probably a software defect.
  7. Can you actually get the screen's clock to stay in 24-hour mode?

I’m an I.T. guy / telecoms operator working in many time zones. Most of our systems run on UTC, not local time… and you always use 24 hour there. You can’t imagine the trauma of daylight savings at least 4 times a year…
  8. Can you actually get the screen's clock to stay in 24-hour mode?

I've set it so many times over the past year... it always reverts to 12 hour mode next time I start up.

  10. 240V charger blowing breaker

Could be low supply voltage; that’d drag the current up.
  11. KwH meter for Ford Charge Station Pro

You should put fuses on your voltage wires since the 100A breaker will let 16AWG wires incinerate completely long before it feels like tripping. Remember the breakers and fuses are to protect the wires...
  12. Load-shedding the FCSP

    > wire the FCSP so that it is on your utility feed, but before the generator isolation switch We'd made the decision to go with a whole-panel transfer switch, so that is unfortunately not an option, as the service entrance goes to the ATS. I had extended conversations with 2 electricians about...
  13. Load-shedding the FCSP

Has anyone experimented with how to use a dry-contact output (of a load-shedding ATS) on the FCSP? I've recently picked up a whole-home genny, which is 100A (22KW). In the included ATS, there are some normally closed 24V contacts meant to go between your thermostat and air conditioner; the...
  14. Window washer fluid should take a full gallon when it warns of low fluid.

Always Rain-X; having driven long-haul through a few freezing-fog events, and buying gallons every few truck stops, the Rain-X has consistently had significantly less windshield-freezing vs. anything else. I won't buy anything else now. Sadly Shell and Costco no longer stock it; Canadian Tire is...

What's the collective noun for Lightnings? A Thunder of Lightning. ⚡️
