Can you actually get the screen's clock to stay in 24-hour mode?

Are you receiving available updates and allowing them to install?
What is your most recent OTA?
Auto-updates are scheduled, and while I'm in Canada and the SOC display took nearly a year after the Americans got it, there was a flurry of them a few months ago but nothing recently. (Can't actually tell you the latest update right now.)

... either way this isn't a bug that should exist at all. It's not like the GUI software was written from zero for the Lightning...

I also am seeing the clock revert to 12 hour every time I start it up. Only had it a week and a half.

Ok I had this same issue. The brain trust here figured it out. There is a setting in forscan on the APIM I think to default to 24hr. I changed that a few months ago and problem solved.

Thanks. I have downloaded ForScan and received the recommended OBDII adapter so expect to be playing with that this weekend.

I saw this mod in the ForScan thread a few weeks ago and asked there if this made the 24-hour clock persistent or if it still randomly switched back to 12-hour. Never received an answer there, so thank you for adding confirmation that this works ?

Guys, be careful with this. In scanning for the "fix", I found this post which identified
IPC 720-01-02 xx*x-xx--
People interpreted the post incorrectly and started to change their values to 0, C, etc. Some of these are wrong for us. In looking at Lightnings, they all have a "2" here. To keep those same settings and change Global Clock from 12 to 24-hour, you need a "6".

If you previously disabled the Engine On Chime (i.e., you changed the "2" to a "0), then for 24-hour clock you need a "4".

I have updated the FORScan mod post to be more clear.
Disable Door Ajar Chime
12/24-Hour Clock

IPC 720-01-02 xx*x xx--
0 12-hour clock, Chime disabled
2 12-hour clock, Chime enabled (default)
4 24-hour clock, Chime disabled
6 24-hour clock, Chime enabled
