Last Saturday I showed Storm at the Earth Day event. We had two Lightnings (one showed later), a Bolt, Bolt EUV, a Buzz and a Mach E. Had a nice time talking with the attendees and the other EV owners.

The other day I saw significant smoke beyond my town. Day or so later, having learned it was a prescribed burn, I drove over to see the aftermath.

I've got 5.6 kw of panels, ground mount with a sol-ark inverter, grid tied. I've already got a 'critical loads' panel in the house, but no batteries in the house. I'd Like some, and yes, Ecoflow has a modular system which would fit the bill.

I Had a 2013 C-Max Energi, and had to have a new modem installed when the LTE 2 system shut down, this hits close to home.

Worst case , it would take days to charge. If that’s the case, fine. At least I wouldn’t have a large gray brick in my driveway. Also, I’m not averse to expanding the PV side of the equation. I’m Fine with putting panels on my shed roof. The 220w came with the kit.

I saw a recent out of spec Bits video the other day about charging an R1T on a portable charger and a 120V circuit. In that video Isaiah explains his logic for why he is able to 'survive' on 120V even with the big battery that the Rivian has. This has got me thinking about a Grid down...

Driving home from work yesterday, I noticed a Rivian R1T in my mirror. When we both stopped at a light, the owners were all smiles, and gave me a thumbs up! I rolled down my window and we had a brief mutual truck admiration chat. They liked Storm and I said much the same for their hot rod .
