I'm not talking about losing power to the Comma when performing an update. I mean just during everyday boot up ... like let's say I just need to move my truck 2-feet because I parked it badly ... I'm not gonna leave it running until BP is done booting.
Anyway, it sounds like @Ajzride just has...
@Ajzride it seems like quite a significant issue if the Comma gets soft-bricked if power is lost when BP7 is booting. I never encountered this when running BP6 ... many months of rock-solid reliability without requiring a factory reset. Is a fix for this possible?
These were cute the first time I learned about them. But honestly 99% of the time, I am not looking at my Comma 4 (especially because the screen is now so small compared to the 3/3X). It's a different philosophy but functioning as the designers intended ... i.e. a mature appliance that...
Fair enough and, as someone heavily involved in other volunteer endeavours, I totally sympathize ... it's always 1% of the peeps doing 99% of the work (and apparently even more extreme ratios in this scenario).
On a related note, how often is Bluepilot updated with Sunnypilot? BP 6.0 came out in March, Sunnypilot 26.1 came out on May 6th and 26.2 came out yesterday. I'm not super familiar with how the branching works, so please excuse my ignorance.
