Only one issue which involved the "Stop Safely Now" message. I posted about it here: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/stop-safely-now-on-start.30505/page-3#post-626288 As you can read, it was quickly solved by just shutting off and restarting the vehicle. No other issues. I've...
I switched off then because I had just finished descending a mountain with a lot of switchbacks. After the stop sign, the road leveled out so I switched off one-pedal.
I had my first "Stop Vehicle Now" message (and forced stop). It occurred after I had been driving for about 15 minutes in One-Pedal mode. At a stop sign, I turned One-Pedal off and the warning popped up right after that. It was resolved by turning the vehicle off and back on again. As someone...
I was so proud of Ford for building the Lightning and committing to EVs but I don't blame them for shifting course. I fault our broken political system. How can anybody run a huge capital intensive company without being able to make long term projections? Who knows who will be in office in 5...
I think this is really short sighted and a step backwards. I'll never go back to fossil fuels. I'll buy a Rivian next time. Meanwhile, China marches ahead of the US. When will we wake up?
This exact same scenario happened to me yesterday on my 2023 Lariat. I've only had it since May and this is the first issue I've had. It really shakes my confidence in the vehicle.
I bought a buy-back from Capitol Ford. It was also a 2023 Lariat. This was May and I've put about 5000 miles on it with no issues. My repair list was not nearly as long as yours however. The vehicle came from CA where buy-back laws favor the owner and many vehicles are returned for more minor...
Thanks for all the advice. I may have been overthinking it but based on the comments I don't think I can do any real damage to the battery or reduce its lifespan significantly. I plan to charge to 100% the night before these trips and 80% the rest of the time.
I'm sure this has been addressed many times but I couldn't find with my very basic search skills.
I regularly drive a trip that is at the limit of my range (I have a 2023 extended range Lariat). Should I make the trip non-stop on a 100% charge or only charge to 80% and top off? Obviously I'd...
I'm looking for one too. Etrailer says they have one that will fit because someone sent them this picture. Does anyone have details on this installation? It's the Ecohitch Hidden Front Mount Hitch Receiver. $463.
I'm inclined to go for the extended warranty unless someone here can talk me out of it. I realize it's a personal decision but the key variable for me is how likely failures are to occur and I think on such a complex vehicle the probabilities are high.
I just bought an extended range 2023 Lariat Buyback from Capital Ford this week. I live in Charlotte so it was easy for me to test drive the vehicle. I was impressed with the dealership and the truck blew me away. This is my fourth electric car, first truck, and first Buyback. My Lightning has...
