Sorry I thought I replied to this. I forget exactly... you definitely still need some of the things on the harness that was in the center console. For example, the module that determines if your key is in the car is part of that.
The shifter plugs into that right plug, basically (near passenger...
I would say, for the level of simplicity it sounds like you're looking for, probably not. The complexity isn't majorly the connector to the shifter, it's that a lot of the wiring is tied into that center console. Once you remove the center console and free the wiring, it's not difficult to...
@blitzlinger and @Lightning Rod expressed they'd like to learn how much time it took from pop to pain in the cabin and I was also really trying to learn this info... OP expressed that it was quick. Would have loved to learn this before they deleted..
The one that detects the key? I can say... I have it in that cavity beneath the jumpseat underseat storage where the airbag module etc is. It mostly works, but does not detect key reliably when key is up on the dashboard in the center tray. I believe I'll be able to move it to a better position...
I appreciate all the replies. From those replies I can see public DCFC charging is just more expensive here in Massachusetts than most places (so is the electricity so that makes sense).
I was just very frustrated to see some great new charging options open up at some gas stations near me only...
Has anyone else noticed or felt impact of increased electricity and charging costs?
Thankfully i do most of my charging at home but occasionally i need a boost if i have a few long drives back to back, and Wow has the public charger pricing gone way up
Most around me are above $0.60/kW and...
i believe seatbelt and buckle receptacle are integral to seat. In the case of my donor I believe it has been cut so will be sourcing that. No one sitting up there for now
We are in business (not exactly, if you ask my wife)
Her first response is that it looks like a downgrade. She cheered up when she realized the umbrella could sit on the floor between the seats. Wait till she can put her bag there!
We’re still without the associated steering column shroud...
There is now a resource thanks to Pulpo Grande

I myself have been using column shifter for a couple weeks. I was pleasantly surprised it’s a nice shifter. Hadn’t used any sort of modern column shifter...
I have skimmed this thread and searched for mentions but didn't see anything.
Is it safe to unplug the stock shifter and plug in the new one without disconnecting battery, or are people disconnecting battery? Just don't want to throw any codes as I'm not prepped to clear them.
Thanks
Okay just ordered some parts to do this
@Vakatack I like how your install came out. I’m good with a dremel but never would have trusted a holesaw for this kind of thing. They never seem to cut super accurate for me and the surface isn’t flat so it would be coming into contact with it at diff...
@Vakatack what are your thoughts a few months in?
I'm planning on doing this so I can put in the jumpseat but have the brake controller so will have to find another spot for one or the other.
Sneaky! One of the updates in the last couple months changed it on mine too. Just has Auto High Beam standard options above.
May have to do the forscan thing after all
