I just received this update on my Android device as well. I now have the option for Pro Power Onboard under the Trailer Light Check option in the Utility section of the Vehicle (first) tab. That option was not there this morning when I was still on 6.2.

When you first engage the brake pedal in the Lightning it does not immediately engage the physical brakes, it engages the regenerative braking. So unless you are braking hard/fast, the brake pads are not being utilized to stop the vehicle for most of the slowdown/stop.
You need to use an Electrify America charger. When you get the email receipt, it will contain your remaining balance. It's the only method I've found to check.
