  1. 25C69 Recall - Ford Recalls 2022-2026 F-150 Lightning Over Rollaway Risk

Had this one done last Friday at the dealership. No issues. 2024 Flash
  2. Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Post Yours! 📸

One for the list of Lightnings doing things you don't see very often: A visit to the gas station. In this case to top off a gas can for the snow blower before 1-2 feet of snow start to arrive in a few hours. Also, team Red.
  3. LR tire picked up a nail at 15k miles, can I replace just the one or do I need to pay for a full set?

Thanks a lot to all of you for your suggestions. Given where the damage is and the possibly-iffy nature of a repair, I think I'm going to just go for a full new/upgraded set. Perhaps Michelin Defenders. I'll now start going through the many threads in here on picking a good tire... Much...
  4. LR tire picked up a nail at 15k miles, can I replace just the one or do I need to pay for a full set?

Thanks everyone for your (sometimes conflicting :) ) suggestions. Here's a picture after pumping it back up to normal pressure. The nail is in the meaty part of the tread but seems to be angled toward the sidewall rather than straight in The best approach seems to be to see if a repair place...
  5. LR tire picked up a nail at 15k miles, can I replace just the one or do I need to pay for a full set?

Title basically tells the story. Left rear tire (OEM Hankook) picked up a nail somewhere yesterday and has dropped to 20psi. It's holding there for now. The nail is about an inch in from the outside so I assume that it's not something a shop would consider repairable. A lot of guidance says...
  6. 2026 F-150 Lightning Production terminated

I'm feeling pretty confident that my 24 Flash was peak Flash because they have deleted things from it ever since.
  7. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout IPMA-24.204.10.9

Installed for me last night. 24 Flash, purchased new almost exactly a year ago. I have generally liked BC, if 1.4 really is that much better I will probably use it more.
  8. Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder

I wish I had thought of this too but I have a box that should be sufficient to protect it. One of the four 10mm bolts that you need to remove to get the shifter out is actually under the stowed position of the shifter so you should get that bolt out BEFORE you put the shifter down.
  9. Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder

Another successful replacement. I followed Brandon Flasch's video on YT which was spot on. The factory shifter is a real beast by comparison. I agree with other posters that getting the top trim off is a PITA but the whole thing took me about 30m.
  10. NHTSA Recall - Loss of Steering from Front Control Arm Separation (Impacting certain 2023 to 2024 builds)

UPDATE 6/2: Inspection reported PASS. They replaced both upper front ball joint nuts anyway. No charge. The whole thing took them about 90 minutes. -------------------- I got added to this one yesterday, appointment scheduled for Monday AM.
  11. Best Phone for Android Auto in the Lightning? Any to Avoid?

Just adding a note that AA performance and reliability improved significantly after the February update for ECG-24.2.5.7 which was supposed to address general performance issues. Before then I had a lot of problems with AA failing to connect, screen freezes or really bad screen update lag to...
  12. Where’s the savings!!!!

Don't forget the $ (and time) that you save from not needing to do ICE-type maintenance like oil changes, etc. I've owned EVs of one kind or another since 2013 and significantly lower maintenance costs is one of the best hidden benefits of owning an EV. There are just a lot fewer moving...
  13. Will you renew BlueCruise?

I got my truck last September with 90 days of BC. I decided to renew to give myself a full year with it before deciding. I'll see how much I use it in 2025. It has been useful on the few 200+ mile trips that I've done but I agree that it's not super useul for shorter ones. I'd rather have...
  14. Dealership Claimed EV Tax Credit without Permission

I got one of those letters and I may have a similar issue with my Flash purchase last September. They were throwing around a "rebate" of $7500 and I specifically asked them to verify that it was a Ford number and not the IRS number. When I did the paperwork I had to accept a set of Ford...
