Yes, technically the HIS didn't work at all with the bad modem it couldn't be paired with the truck and it wouldn't initiate a transfer.
I had more issues surface after it was replaced, my inverter was in the wrong mode, I'd have to look up how it was described, but delta was able to remote in...
We should build a FCSP serial database, I wonder if the early units were more prone to fail.
I am on my 3rd the first 2 had the modem chip or whatever is responsible for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth die, charging worked fine and it looked normal. If you never use the HiS or checked anything via Wi-Fi...
I had similar problems with my original charge station Pro. Let me try to remember what happened exactly, there is some hardware bug that causes the modem to essentially die at some point with a lot of these units. If you find that Wi-Fi doesn't work, the Bluetooth module will not work either...
Yea I don't know how to deal with the line item of regen, do I add that to get total power use or subtract it out because it is already added in to the total use... This short trip I did was so slow it regened under 0.1kwh.
Looking at the last 3000 miles the car claims 25.5/100mi so that's a...
We have an xc60 plug in and I drove it to work and back recently and after I did the math the ev only mi/kwh was 1.6, worse than the Lightning. Sure it was cold and the heat was on but sill surprised based on low speed and overall size of the car.
No real complaints though, it's even smart...
Yep he helped me get mine functional again.
Ran like 12 plus hours on the test yesterday without dropping out like it did last time. So it worked but I didn't get the test data I had hoped for. Figures.
Wait so you're a lawyer...? Do you have any connections to consumer protection lawyers that would have interest in this?
I'm testing my system again as I write this. I rebooted the whole system Thurs in anticipation of a storm yesterday that wasn't bad enough to cause loss of power but even so...
Ok I understand
Seems like a missed opportunity in the software to keep things healthy and prevent inconvenience to the owners. If the truck is on level 2 charge why would they ever put it to sleep and stop monitoring systems?
Curious what the need is for the battery tender? If the truck is on the charger will it wake up to charge the 12v as needed if it is not actively charging?
If you set your charge limit to 50% and plug it into the EVSE and leave it like that for a year, shouldn't the truck wake up to charge...
Update from here:
the system appears to be functional again....
After speaking with Ford engineering they had me do a live conference call with their team to witness the behavior of the system (transfer initiates but no power fed back to house). Their conclusion was something wrong with the...
Nevermind mine isn't working again. It's been 50 days since they disconnected that com wire, it worked 4 or 5 times in test shortly after, I ran it for 8 hours one test, but now after sitting it's back to the same failure mode - looks like it transferred but not actually powering the house for...
Right.
But if you do that during a grid outage the inverter is off and you're done until the grid comes back up. You'd have to open the inverter and try to repower it from the dark start battery and I don't know if that is possible.
You can reboot the FCSP by pulling the ds battery feed though...
My system is functional (though I feel like another test is in order as it's probably a month+ since they fixed it) but automatically transferring 100% of the time isn't quite there yet. I think the issue is the FCSP getting hung up with the Bluetooth connection. The Sunrun guys said the truck...
