  1. Is there a risk of damaging undercarriage by driving through this?

I used the radiator grille store product. It was a snap. A bit expensive but very well made and fit perfectly.
  2. Is there a risk of damaging undercarriage by driving through this?

I have made that upgrade using the supplier many others have in the links here and it is awesome at keeping this kind of debris out of the cooler. Super easy to install and it's robust enough to last, and easy to replace if it gets damaged.
  3. If someone breaks into the Lightning and does not have a recognized key, does the interior frunk button work?

No lift. Just Eibach shocks and springs, Mevotech sway bar links, and a Billstein Hellwig swaybar. I've already had the Eibach shocks and love the difference in the ride and handling. Now that I live in East TN with narrow, curvy roads, it makes sense to reduce the trucks diving into corners and...
  4. If someone breaks into the Lightning and does not have a recognized key, does the interior frunk button work?

This entire thread is epic and just what I needed on a Friday morning of a long week. Thanks for the post and all of the great (serious and not) replies. I also love my Lightning and will soon write up some major suspension work. Just waiting on parts to come in.
  5. PPF Question

I have Ceramic Pro Ultimate Armor, which includes their brand of PPF and ceramic coating on the black lightning grill and the front quarter panels and mirrors. I love it and have had no problems. I've had it in place for over a year and just had my annual maintenance. This is my second vehicle...
  6. Apple Maps EV Routing

Not to clog the thread, but my Apple Maps battery percentage and connection stopped working. I tried to be clever and deleted my truck from the app. And now I cannot re-add it because... Cue the shocking surprise music here... The connection wasn't working before and it's still not working so...
  7. Ford Lightning Pro Power Onboard failure on the last weld of the project

We see this in data centers also. I agree with your theory here. This can be a major issue!
  8. CyberCab

As an engineer in autonomous sensing and sensemaking, I couldn't agree more. Visual only is never going to work in any circumstances. If it did, we would not need other sensing modalities. In high contrast situations, extremely bright scenarios (sun in the picture, side of a HUGE white truck...
  9. Best Ford EV Service/Dealer in Knoxville,TN

Thank you very much! I appreciate you sharing your experience.
  10. Best Ford EV Service/Dealer in Knoxville,TN

Truth! I can say in the DC/MD/VA metro area that Apple Ford in Columbia, MD are rock stars. I've never worked with any other dealer regardless of brand like them. Not only do they pay their people well enough that I've had the same sales guy for over a decade, but all of the service, parts, and...
  11. Best Ford EV Service/Dealer in Knoxville,TN

I am about to relocate from Northern Virginia to Oak Ridge/Knoxville, TN and would love a recommendation from other forum members on who the best Ford EV certified service department is in the area. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! If you have any warnings on who to avoid, that is also...
  12. The Least Reliable Cars, Trucks And SUVs You Can Buy In 2025, According To Consumer Reports

Same here (Also a '23 Lariat). Virtually all of the "problems" I've had I've been able to solve via this forum or simple fixes on my end. Most have been discovering the differences between how various things are implemented differently in an F150 EV vs. an ICE F150. Consumers are much less...
  13. 12k winch, trailer hitch mount, deep cycle battery, battery charger setup

Watts are watts. You are 100% correct, but AC and DC motors have very different torque curves and hugely different inrush current demands depending on the full load voltage/current requirements to achieve max instantaneous torque, which could easily overwhelm, stall, and overheat certain motors...
  14. Battery issue at 100% only 298 miles

You're right in line with expectations and what I'm seeing at 16K miles. The EPA tells you that the range tests are not meant to demonstrate real world conditions. They don't. So they will never be accurate. As always, your mileage may vary, but there is no negligence by Ford or any other EV...
  15. Battery issue at 100% only 298 miles

There is nothing wrong with your battery and nothing your dealer can or will do. The truck generates range and power usage estimates based on a number of factors and it is almost useless when the truck is brand new. As with any vehicle, your range depends on how YOU drive it and maintain it...
