If someone breaks into the Lightning and does not have a recognized key, does the interior frunk button work?

There is a good amount of space behind the driver's side back seat. It's where I have my hideaway 10" Kicker sub. It's a bit of a pain to get that latch pulled though. If you are just talking keys and a wallet then you could hide it in the headliner (easy if you have a sunroof) or behind a piece of trim like the ones on the left/right sides of the shifter/cupholder area.

This entire thread is epic and just what I needed on a Friday morning of a long week. Thanks for the post and all of the great (serious and not) replies. I also love my Lightning and will soon write up some major suspension work. Just waiting on parts to come in.
Are you going to put a lift on a lightning?

No lift. Just Eibach shocks and springs, Mevotech sway bar links, and a Billstein Hellwig swaybar. I've already had the Eibach shocks and love the difference in the ride and handling. Now that I live in East TN with narrow, curvy roads, it makes sense to reduce the trucks diving into corners and help with lane keeping. I plan to keep the original ride height.

I haven't bought one yet, but you can get yourself one of these to make that space more easily accessible...

Of course you could statash it behind the impossible to get to drivers seat rear.

I'm not gonna spend that kind of money for something that I won't use. if you bundled you million up nicely you could put it in one of the frunk side wall covers.

It doesn't matter. Whether the button works, or not, doesn't matter.

Break window, open door handle. Alarm sounds. Reach down in footwell and pull manual frunk release twice. Take @Zaptor's $10 million that he left in there while hiking.

I have a locking tonneau that would be very hard to get into. I haven't tested the buttons though...
RickLightning, you got two beautiful girls park in the driveway. I almost went the same route, but I couldn't get the pricing on the Mach-E to come down enough to convience my wife. We opted for the EV Blazer instead. But I still got the 2024 lightning Lariat.
