This information seams to be a little behind the times. There are four Walmarts within few miles of me that have these new chargers well under construction. I think the announcement that these Walmarts were going to get chargers was over a year ago.
I charge at home so unfortunately the...
I connected my Lightning to the Car Scanner app today using a Bluetooth dongle. The app showed my SOH as 100% which is a little surprising since I just had to have one of the HV module replaced.
Another reason my current SOH is surprising is because my SOH was at 97% for a long time before the...
To be fair, ABRP does just one, it makes a route planner for EVs and it requires a fee for that premium service. With all the variables and effort related to building a decent EV planner I’m not surprised OEMs are reluctant to build really good ones. Through Apple CarPlay and a Bluetooth dongle...
Download the A Better Route Planner, ABRP. With ABRP not only will you be able to tell under what driving conditions you will get the rated driving range, you will be able to accurately estimate your range under almost any driving conditions. And yes, you can get the rated range under the...
On my first long trip (2,000+ miles) since replacing the bad module. The battery pack seems to be charging better than it ever did before. I have a feeling that the module had been going bad for a very long time.
One thing I always do when I know a software update is pending is I plug in my EV charger. I always seem to have more success with the update installing if my Lightning is connected to a charger. I don’t have a logical explanation, it just seems to work better.
Bluecruise 1.4 loaded last night. It was raining this morning so BlueCriuse didn’t want to activate but it did activate long enough for one turn signal lane change. My truck is pretty dirty right now and I’m sure that’s not helping BlueCriuse activation.
Anybody know off the top of their head...
Got the truck back and it seems to work fine. It was 65% SOC so I took to an EA station to charge to 70%. I’ve got it on my Charge Station Pro right now and it’s already above 84%’going to 90%.
The whole process went pretty smooth. Once the dealership received the module it only took them about...
The dealership just called and said my truck is ready. I think my service writer learned a little because he fessed up and said an array and a module are the same thing. He said the voltage balance on module #2 was out of tolerance and had to be replaced.
Just got word back from the dealer and it looks like my Lightning has an array (module) failure. It’s going to a week for delivery of the parts and a couple of more days to install and test. Okay, somebody tell me what’s the difference between a module and an array? My service writer was really...
I have been having the same problem lately, FordPass shows 100% when GOM shows 80% after charging with Pro Charger. I have also been having issues with extremely slow charging above 70% SOC. Based on this thread I have decided to get my truck into the dealer to have it checked out.
Two years and 35k miles. Several recalls but no real problems. My dealer has been selling/servicing EVs for years so I think they pretty much know what they are doing even if I do keep getting asked if I want my oil changed.
Update: I had to have a HV module replaced soon after making this...
Check all of your fluid levels to see if any of them are low. You will have to drop the skid plate to check the reduction gear fluid level. Wipe off all the oil you and see where it shows up again.
You might want to remove the plastic Frunk and see if there is any fluid on the motor.
I thought I was doing pretty well on my trips to Colorado before this charging rate increase using my Tesla adapter. The new charging curve is nice but it drops off way too much, too soon. I was freaking out having to wait an extra hour to charge with low charging speeds.
The problem is that...
