I have a similar setup but when we had a power outage, the truck would not allow the connection and would throw the breaker on the 30amp connection in the truck.
But when I hooked it up to generator the Generlink worked fine. Not sure why yet
This is my first winter and most of my worries are gone. Yes there is reduced range but it is not allergic to cold. We had -33C a few times. I had it plugged in an home but couldn’t plug in at work and no problem even when temps stayed below -20C all day.

First winter is nearly over and while I learned a lot and I would not want to go back. I held onto my old F150 for a few months but don’t miss it! No major problems now at 10,000m
I ran into this recently. I used a thin screw driver to scrape the snow and tap it out. Worked so I didn’t get out the heat gun yet. Will be watching this thread with interest
Thanks for asking this as I have a tire that I will now fix which has damage much ALMOST an inch in from the wall. The garage wouldn’t fix it to my surprise but now I understand more from this thread. Kept the tire and will use it in the future thanks to you!
I had both the experienced supervisor and then a newbie inspector for some other deficiencies on my project. I forgot to put paste on the aluminum wire so I had an experienced electrician walk me through to get it done right.
Yes, thanks! Do you know if plugging in the level 1 charger at my office is of any use on cold days? Power the pump? or is this also too much to ask it below 0?
I am reading this as I watch the mercury drop below 0F and lower for the next few weeks. I am on the north side of Lake Superior.
