Exactly. I completely agree on your first point. I donāt want someone to try to forcibly remove a DC charging cable and not understand that itās physically locked, and damage my charge port. Itās not like the thing isnāt primarily plastic. It already feels pretty flimsy when itās NOT locked.
Definitely should be covered under warranty, assuming you are under 36k miles. I just replaced my original 12v battery at 55k miles and after removing it, noticed it was swelling slightly. Unfortunately for me, not a warranty claim anymore.
Those Bridgestone Dueler Ascent A/T tires look great. When you say "no loss of efficiency", you mean compared to the stock Grabbers? That's impressive, since they are an LT tire. Or do you have the passenger tire variation? Assuming you have the LT version, what pressure do you run on them...
I realize that everyone has a different perspective, but personally I have had very positive experiences with Continental passenger car tires (not the OEM ones but their higher-end models). Havenāt tried the Continental truck tires yet though. However, I HAVE tried the Cooper Discoverer AT3...
You can search the forms, but there are many similar posts about this. I had it happen to my own 2023 SR lightning- it happened twice and each time eventually it went away after a few times powering the truck down. I believe itās a software glitch and the truck is not really in a 2 Wheel drive...
yup. I saw this glitch a few days ago and it initially freaked me out. However, as soon as I got in the truck and saw that everything was fine, I checked the iOS app again and the ā0 milesā glitch was gone. It hasnāt recurred. Although I am stoked that Ford is TRYING to make the FordPass app...
If (and at this point, itās a big IF) Scout actually delivers the truck that theyāre promising, itās the only one that Iām currently interested in. If something happened to my Lightning, I would likely buy a slightly used 2023 Lightning XLT to replace it. But Iām hoping and planning to drive...
that was exactly my reaction- āOP- are you SERIOUS?ā
honestly I donāt get it. Sure, I am disappointed that Ford canceled the Lightning. I believe it was a short-sighted knee-jerk decision. But it makes absolutely ZERO damn difference regarding how I feel about my Lightning. This is simply...
no, theyāre 100% not listening. Maybe some individual employees are, but not Corporate. Hugely disappointing. I blame the dealership network because they wanted the truck to fail out of the gate. Why would they want to sell a vehicle that has minimal maintenance? They donāt. Scout knows...
Absolutely. Last summer, I pushed it a little too farā¦. There was a very short uphill just a few hundred yards before the charging station. I elected to pull over and turned the truck off because I had almost no power. Let it sit for about two minutes and then booted āer up and made it up...
I think there are a few different things getting mixed in here. Yes, heavier tires/wheels should lower efficiency, due to the increased force it takes to rotate the additional mass. But a smaller wheel matched with a tire with a ātallerā sidewall shouldnāt affect efficiency in a negative way...
I donāt believe this is correct. At least not in my experience. Yes, there is an initial boost when using a DCFC, but it is NOT SOC-agnostic. In my experience, if you are above ~50% SOC, you will not see maximum charging speeds. I have seen the most consistent high charging āboostā between...
