Generally age 86 is the break even. If you plan on living past 86 then wait closer to 70 to start taking your SSI. If you expect you won't hang in that long then start early.
As you guys always say when answering the question about 'which ground wire should I disconnect' ... "I'm not an...
Since I regularly swap Winter and Summer tires, when they saw I had snow tires on my Dealer said "well we won't do that, so it will save you some money". I just had them put in the new cabin filter. I know I could do it myself, but they are good to me so I can throw them a few bucks.

Perhaps they can put millions of those in the Saudi desert, convert the oil to electrons right out of the derrick and (somehow) ship the electrons to us bypassing the Hormuz?
I bet we have all had a vehicle that didn't meet all of our needs. But if you are smart you bought it to meet your usual needs!
Hmm, my '67 Saab 93 didn't have a trunk big enough to carry construction materials. When I carried 10 bags of concrete mix (yes it was dragging on the pavement) I...
I use 1PD all the time, and find it very stable in the snow. Driving down the pass on steep windy sections, I can just feather it and I find I have full control. The truck will 'let go' and regain control if you give it too much (regen).
Looking forward to taking off my snow tires next week...
That’s something I don’t get about this forum, why would it not show you some posts? I sometimes see people respond to posts that I didn’t see in the thread 🧵
Drove mine up to Stevens Pass both Thursday and Friday. The roads were completely covered, and we watched other trucks sliding and going off the shoulder :) I do have good snow tires, which cut down my range by 10-20%, but absolutely love the stability.
No EREV for me. Worst of both worlds. How good will the 'gas mileage' be when you are running a generator to create electricity for driving/towing?
(and you lose the quiet and no-smell aspects of our BEV)
I think those who are doing long distance towing would not bother with the Battery...
Must be the mix of Canadian air and US air causing problems there. Is the one 70 miles away Bickford in Snohomish? They are the best, they have done me right (although I have not had any battery problems) and seem to have a good BEV staff.
I have to drink my tea with my left hand. Getting those last few drinks out of the reusable mug while watching the road with my left eye ... it can't see me! Silly thing.
