my other vehicle is a PIH, so it just has the J1772 pins. Looks like the only way to use my FCSP would be to get this Thunderstorm Lite and the plug a NACS to J1772 (like one for a Tesla Destination Charger) onto that?
I have learned to do ABC, and I keep it at 80% summer and 90% winter ... but I thought that there was some benefit (similar to the benefit of charging to 100% ~once a month) to running the battery to it's low end occasionally.
We do run it below 50% at least once a month, more during ski...
I got one of those flip out 'extenders'. I think I've only used it once for an extended bed, but it gives me about a 2' space to put things that won't end up sliding to the cab. It's easy to remove, and I can even stick it at the front or back under the tonneau if I need the entire bed free.
I paid $39.99 at my dealer. I'm happy to pay that for them to do the once-over. Glad to see they didn't check the box that says 'oil level' ;) Monday I get to take the BMW in which will be $600 probably!
We regularly take a trip over the mountains, and I try to charge to 100% before we leave. For safety and to exercise the top end of the battery. I recently saw a comment in a thread (canāt find it or I would reply there) about the time it takes for the last few %. So I thought I would watch...
I canāt open the frunk when itās in the garage. (Too close to the wall in front). So getting to the 12v is problematic.
We will be leaving for 30 days, Iām thinking just charge to 50%, set the charge level on the truck to 50% and leave plugged in to the FCSP. If the 12v gets low???
Or ask my...
It must feel a 'pull' (turn) to know you are there. I just slightly turn the wheel left or right every 15 seconds. I've heard that others put a 1# weight on one side of the wheel and it 'feels' them there.
Does anyone know what the 'mapping' of the roads does for BC? I find the regular lane centering plus adaptive cruise to work great (where there are actually lines on the roadside), and the only thing BC does for me is
1: not bother me every 15 seconds
2: let me change lanes
And when I'm on a...
There is a setting that you can tell it how much time to wait until you walk away after turning the vehicle off until it turns the lights off. Not sure if that works the same whether you are in Auto vs On.
The truck always starts out in Auto. Maybe it's a setting.
Regarding auto-high beams...
Maybe Brian @Ford Motor Company wants to put this (access dashcam) on his list. Turn signal cameras would be great! I have stopped, pressed Camera, and look for the wide angle front cam. especially one road that comes up to an intersection, if you donāt quickly scan around before you get to...
It would be cool if @Ford Motor Company could provide services like this. I would pay for the option. Just like I would pay to have the big shifter knob replaced and allow my passenger to use their laptop on the table while we are driving!
Thinking back to the comment about filling up at Costco ⦠now I remember sitting with 40 other cars waiting my turn. If you have driven a Diesel having to get out your special glove 𧤠to not stink up your hands.
in 16 months I have added 5 minutes of electrons 4 times, the rest in my garage...
I hope @chl is able to get dis-gruntled.
I like that the Tech did the "wiggle test" and the parts required were two coat hooks!
What ever happened to high tech?
Chains āļø? I read in the manual that you canāt use them on a lightning. I have them anyway to get past the State Payroll (must carry) when required.
My list, change the oil, check the brake pads, make sure the clamp on the exhaust pipe is tight, check air filter is clean or tap it out. Oh...
I have the trailer brake stuff there instead of the coin slot. But I think you should replace it with a button to activate the "Vroom vroom" speaker that you want to use everytime you take off from a stoplight!
I do like to initiate my ICE friends on their first ride! But I really like it for driving Hwy2, 2 lanes over Stevens Pass when there is always a slow poke. Now I can wait for the dashed line and kick it right past them! But my wife always grabs the console and door and Oh #$&%!!! No...
I just wanted to comment on renting a truck for those occasional trips perhaps with a trailer.
I would much rather have MY truck, with the stash of napkins in the second glove box, the flat back seat area for the dog and a couple bags, the POWER pulling a trailer, the controls handling views...
Always good to see a Lightning on the road, I saw one on Hwy1 north of Vancouver, weaving in and out of traffic! Maybe that was @Hellian š
made it up here from Snohomish with 35% left, didnāt bother stopping before the border to top off since I had used so little. Had my Tesla adapter ready...
