Water in the taillight? Radar sensor not working anymore? There might be a fix cheaper than a new $$$ taillight.

The sensor is replaceable for about $370 or so from Ford. There are other used sensors on sale via Amazon and EBay but I didn't have good luck with those... they are often listed with newer series numbers than they actually are labeled with on receipt, i.e. they are superseded sensors.

A Ford dealer shop mechanic advised me to drill out 3/8 holes in the very bottom of the taillight so that any future water drains out rather than accumulating. I also opened up the taillight sensor door (3 screws) and its connector round cap and put a small fan on one opening for a day inside a heated room... the taillight guts dried out perfectly with the warm airflow.

The round connector cap has a one-way detent which snapped off when I slowly turned the cap to open it... but it seems to be no big deal as the wire harness and the sizable-length thread on the cap's edge now hold it in place anyway.

Once You have the new radar sensor it needs to be road-calibrated...through FORScan action or by a Ford dealership. Way cheaper than a new taillight.

Good Luck!
