So much for Ford's EREV if this Chinese solid-state battery announcement holds up - going into mass production in 2026.

With a single cell energy density of 260-500 Wh/kg, considerably higher than traditional liquid lithium-ion batteries, the cells enable a longer driving range, faster charging, and more interior space.
- Or why Farley doesn't want Chinese EVs allowed in the American market...

That is great for EVs. Sure Americas current climate is preventing many scientific advances from reaching the market, but heck , when the Japanese cars came into the market it forced American manufacturers to either get moving, or get out. I would buy a Chinese EV no problem.

If US car makers want to compete they could trim some 'fat' at the top that eats up millions every year that could go into EV R&D and manufacturing and line worker salaries.

Trim 1 over-paid exec and you could cover 600 average Ford workers' salaries.

Instead, they will probably go whine and beg the current administration to ban Chinese vehicles for the US.

Pathetic!
