I know this has been discussed before, I just want to make sure I am prepared for when I make the attempt to install. I took a look at my current brake controller. It had the number: ML3T-19J295-GC.
From everything I read, ML3T-19J295-GC can not be enabled to use as a brake controller if I installed the factory switch.
From my research, I have found Lighting Flash owners having sucess with module: MU5T-19J295-HJ. I have further found this is the Eng number for part number: ML3Z-19H332-U.
I ordered ML3Z-19H332-U and ML3Z-14529-AC for the install. I have used Forscan to activate other features and have an "OK" amount of knowledge.
With this said. Here is a guide I put together once they come in. Can anyone verify these are the correct steps before I attempt this?

Phase 1: Physical Prep
Open FORScan and connect to your truck. When it asks if you want to use a "Saved Profile," select NO. This ensures it reads the new hardware correctly.
1. Update the TRM (Trailer Module)
2. Update the IPC (Instrument Cluster)
3. Update the APIM (Center Screen)
Because you have the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, your camera module (IPMA) is very sensitive.
Phase 3: Final Troubleshooting

If you finish and see "Trailer Brake Module Fault":

Phase 1: Physical Prep
- Disconnect the 12V battery. Wait 10 minutes to allow the truck's modules to power down completely.
- Swap the Module: Unplug the two harnesses from your -GC module and plug them into your new ML3Z-19H322-U unit under the dash.
- Install the Switch: Pop the ML3Z-14529-AC slider into the dash.
- Reconnect the battery.
Open FORScan and connect to your truck. When it asks if you want to use a "Saved Profile," select NO. This ensures it reads the new hardware correctly.

- Address: 791-01-02
- Change: Locate the 5th digit. Change it to a 5.
- Final look: xxxx 5xxx xx
- Click: "Write," then follow the prompt to cycle the ignition.
2. Update the IPC (Instrument Cluster)
- Module: IPC Configuration (As-Built)
- Address: 720-07-01
- Change: Locate the 10th digit. Change it to an A.
- Final look: xxxx xxxx xAxx
- Address: 720-05-02
- Change: Locate the 3rd digit. Change it to a 4.
- Final look: xx4x xxxx xx
- Click: "Write All." Your dash will reboot and might beep.
3. Update the APIM (Center Screen)
- Module: APIM Configuration (As-Built)
- Address: 7D0-09-03
- Change: Locate the 12th digit. Change it to a 4.
- Final look: xxxx xxxx xxx4
- Click: "Write." This adds the trailer brake menus to your big screen.
Because you have the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, your camera module (IPMA) is very sensitive.
- Go to the Service Functions (Wrench Icon) in FORScan.
- Run "LIN New Module Initialization." This forces the cameras and the new Brake Module to introduce themselves to each other.
- Run "IPMA Module Reset." This clears any "blindness" the cameras might have after the hardware swap.
Phase 3: Final Troubleshooting

If you finish and see "Trailer Brake Module Fault":
- Go to the Warning Triangle in FORScan and "Clear All DTCs." It is normal for the truck to throw "U-codes" (Communication Loss) during programming.
