I was having an issue where the Ford app was only working intermittently. It finally got to the point where it had not connected for days, so I took a shot at fixing it.
None of the usual stuff (Sync reset, master reset, fuse pull, battery cable pull, deleting / re-installing app, deleting and adding back the truck, etc.) worked.
From the Sync Bezel diagnostics I could see that the cellular was showing as not connected, also TCU and analytics server were showing disconnected. I enabled the connectivity icons to make troubleshooting easier.
After removing and then reattaching the three cables at the TCU (which I was guessing had less than a 1% chance of accomplishing anything), everything other than the analytics server is showing as connected, and the Ford app is working as it should - almost.
The only thing that I haven't been able to do is turn on Plug & Charge. The slider is there, when I slid it to on it just eventually goes back to the off position.
Anyhow, as far as the analytics server, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there. Anyone have any insights that they might like to share? I've tried Sync resets, checked all of the connectivity setting and they are correct, turned connectivity off and then back on - not sure what to try next. Or does it even matter? And is this possibly related to the Plug & Charge issue?
