All good to know. I have an Android phone (Galaxy S22 Ultra). I don't get Google Maps on my big screen without Android Auto, so I'm hoping (based on what I've seen in some of these threads) that once I have ABRP on the phone, it will show up on Android Auto. Is that not the case?
My luck I'll...
Great, thanks. Yeah, I have no problem paying for useful software...just wondered if it works better. Sounds like it does.
What type of splitter do you use? I see two types on Amazon...one cabled (probably not as useful in this case) and a couple that plug in and have side-by-side female...
Yes...it was Tesla. One was sort of my fault. It was early in the trip and I hadn't yet learned that I have to check the Google assigned chargers against FordPass or Tesla app to make sure it was compatible. The other one was in Richmond, VA and was cleared by both FordPass and Tesla apps, but...
Thanks, Brian. In my FordPass app, all I have ever had (since I bought in December) is dark mode. Is there a choice? I don't have any settings other than automatic updates.
Yeah, thanks. I used Google Maps extensively on my recent road trip from Maine to Florida. It was OK, but too hard to adjust, and scheduled more stops than were really needed. I had to start out in the morning using it to find areas where there would be chargers, then look on FordPass to find...
OK. Well, I can send this back (bought it from Amazon) if it doesn't work. I bought it on the advice of someone in the forum. Maybe they hadn't used it. Thanks
So, on the advice of several in these forums, I purchased an OBDLink MX+ MX201. I also downloaded the ABRP app. So, being brand new to this concept, I would appreciate a bit of help. It seems easy enough to set up to work with my phone. I have some questions about what else to do, though. Should...
I traded my Model Y in on a Platinum. I traded because I have been unhappy with Tesla's customer service pretty much from the first service appointment I made. They don't take customer service seriously there. The Tesla roadside service app is a joke (but not a funny one; if you hang on to that...
Richmond cost me a lot. I found a Tesla Supercharger station that FordPass and the Tesla app said was compatible. I had to take a 20-minute detour to get there, and found that none of them worked with the Ford. I ended up driving another 10 minutes to some EVConnect chargers that worked well...
Exactly what I am doing... I go to the charging symbol at the bottom, click on public charging, and get the black background with gray, unlabeled lines. I'll try to get a usable screen shot and post it.
I do want an integrated solution (sorry if Tesla tech spoiled me), but I don't want one that underestimates my range, and makes me stop for 20 minutes every hour and a half, which is what I currently have. I know for a fact that in most cases, there are chargers further up the road that I could...
Yeah...I don't get that with my FordPass app. Mine is just gray lines on a black background. I do get the chargers showing up like that, but no Google map.
Cool...I'm curious. How did you get the picture on the right? I haven't seen that on my Android Auto Google Map or my FordPass app. It looks almost like my FordPass app, but mine doesn't show the Google Map picture, just a dark background with gray lines for roads.
So, I didn't really expect them to be the same, and you are right. My expectations were not predicated on a lot of research into Lightning specifics. My disappointment is just general, I guess, based on several decades working in quality improvement. One of the major case studies we all learned...
