I’ve removed my ignition and key in chime sounds, but at startup and shitdown, I still have a single beep. Believe that beep was always there. It sounds like a computer processor beep…does anyone else have this? Any way to remove it?
I have been in a drought since 10/18 and while Karaoke is a ridiculous feature, it’ll be good to see it come through even if it only means I’m ready for the next OTA.
I bought the Veapeak BLE+ OBDII device and connected with the car scanner app. I was primarily interested in monitoring my 12v SOC and my HVB SOH. I did that and.... now what? Is there really much value in monitoring CarScanner metrics continuously?
I'm a data geek but am likely overwhelmed by...
No clear exit plan. The range and charging speed is perfectly fine for my use cases that I don't foresee changing, so I'm not too worried about better battery tech coming out. While I could imagine an industry to replace batteries in cars after market, I'm assuming the frame wouldn't be in a...
Maybe. My instinct would be to bring a chair and sit on that in the bed.
Separately, the scout looks cool though not sure how different it is from the Rivians. Though i don’t see how lightning owners would have frunk envy.
I have enphase solar but not the ford charger. Currently my solar shuts off when the power goes out. I haven’t pursued it but was envisioning adding a small battery that serves as a sort of hub. It would be charged from the solar and power the house in the event of an outage. Additionally, the...
The app is borderline unusable still but slowly improving. Seems like one time charge doesn’t work and changing target charge and departure times works maybe 33% of the time.
However as long as it remotely starts, locks/unlocks, and opens the trunk I’m good
My updates are on fire since 10/7 when I got 6.3, 6.5, 6.8 every other day and this past week received 6.14, the driver alertness one, and this one (6.2 not .2.2) this morning.
seems like ford figured something out. Only visible change is the SOC on the dash but presumably some good back end...
I just got 6.5 on Tuesday.
not sure why ford doesn’t just roll out one update at a time and hit everyone in a month. The overhead to maintain multiple continuous and simultaneous rollouts must be insane
Best bet is to buy lightly used. Many out there are from people that towed or didn’t plan ahead for charging logistics. Their depreciation loss is your gain.
I purchased a new to me 2023 Lariat a few weeks ago and have a very inconsistent Ford App experience. I'm coming from a MachE where I never really had functionality issues as described below.
1. My phone is connected as a PAAK and it automatically unlocks when I approach and usually works to...
No, I'm not the original owner. The CSP isn't showing up in the App or online. My recall list says No Recalls, No CSPs
The letter to dealers does say they should repair it for any owner with this issue. Not sure about the requirement to reproduce, but I'm assuming they can test the sensor...
Thanks everyone for the replies. I found a deal I was happy with on a 2023 Lariat ER with about 8K miles, spray in liner, and tonneau. I was able to get 33K for the MachE so the net depreciation hit wasn't too painful.
Most importantly, the Lightning is awesome and definitely was the right...
I recently purchased a 23 Lariat and have seen this error message sporadically (3 times total). Additionally, my camera does not automatically come on when I'm parking. It sounds like this CSP is my issue, but I haven't received a letter nor can I see it in my Ford.com vehicle dashboard.

it’s possible, at least for my wife. I do use OPD, but keep it in whisper mode with passengers. I find the actual brake pedal is pretty sensitive so I think whisper is smoothest if I feather the “gas” while braking.
From what I can tell, the backseat is an unbearable ride regardless.
