Has anyone put 275/60r20 KO2's on their truck yet? Looking at the quote from my dealer it's $1300 for the 275's and $2200 for the 285's. I would like the 285's, but for another $900 I feel like I could live with the slightly smaller tire.
On my ā14 explorer there is a huge delay in just getting the initial connection (up to a minute) if the car was turned off playing Bluetooth audio. If the car was turned on on another setting like FM there is no lag in getting that connection. Has anyone experienced that with the new Sync 4?
I am also considering the regular extender as well instead of the fold up. I like that I can remove the regular extender rather than the fold up being bolted in. The regular should have no fitment issues.
I'm interested in this as well, my dealer ordered one for me and has it ready to install when my truck is delivered in a few weeks. They said it would fit, but I am doubtful considering all the same issues you brought up.
The lights flashing every 6 seconds would be annoying. If Iām at a campground with our trailer next to our site, flashing lights in the pitch black would not only annoy other campers, it seems like it would draw the attention of anyone up to no good. Anyone know it that can be turned off?
Iām going to eventually go with Ridge Grappler 285ās. Undecided if I am going to do that day 1 or wait for the OEMās to run their course. Other upgrades I could use that $1k for in the near term.
My dealer offered ~$500 credit for the tires off my 20" wheels. However, their prices for the tires were overly inflated. KO2's were $2k and the Ridge Grapplers were $1,700. I think I am holding off on upgrading the tires until these ones wear out after 25k miles or so. Other upgrades I would...
Iāve never personally weighed it, it I think my tongue weight should be just shy of 300 based on specs from Shorelandār. My 14 explorer doesnāt squat too much which has 1200 payload capacity and 5500 towing capacity.
Looking into options for a leveling kit, but was curious about others experiences towing with one. Iāve seen mixed reviews on towing with a leveling kit. I tow a light 19ā runabout currently which is about 3500lbs.
Has anyone towed with a leveling kit put on. I mostly haul a ~3500lb boat through the hills to the lake which has a tongue weight of just under 500. I like the look of the leveling kit, but don't want to compromise towing.
FWIW, I went with max tow because I tow up and down inclines to get to the lake. I wanted piece of mind with the larger brakes. The road from our cabin to the boat ramp itself is about 5 miles of switch backs that is basically riding the brakes the entire time.
I guess the next question is if they are the same form factor and can be swapped out. I think these are the right parts if someone can also confirm. Here's the parts for the black cap versus the chrome cap, but no pictures of the chrome cap.
