I am definitely looking forward to MS chargers as we often travel west. Those ADECA sponsored dcfc sites will help but they really needed some guidance on location choices. We need something along I-22 to facilitate BHM-MEM travel and around the Steele Tesla supercharger station. And I will...
Local charging isnāt really an issue. Itās the missing dcfc locations for travel, especially in NE & NW Alabama and pretty much all of Mississippi. Things are a bit better if Auburn (well, itās Auburn so of course itās better ?) is your starting point since youāre almost in the center of what...
Correct that most driving isnāt an issue, but you live in a part of the country with many charging options. Some of us do not have that luxury and having more range is necessary to make EVs as useful as possible. I frequently use my Mach E, and my Bolt before it, on day trips that would be...
Unfortunately this isnāt much of a surprise for Alabama buyers, though I hoped it would be better with Ford. Same reason we canāt get the excellent new Korean EVs and PHEV Toyotas without going out of state.
I am on the priority list with Long Lewis Hoover. Really doesnāt matter though with the...
All along when folks would say āthe Rivian is soooo expensiveā my response has been that i expected a similar spec Lightning to be more than the R1T. However I never dreamed a XLT with 27% less range would cost about the same as the base Rivian.
I had an original 02 Avalanche for 12 years. Looks aside, the fabulous versatility made it one of my all time favorite vehicles. I still regret not fixing it. An electric version is essentially my perfect vehicle.
Weāll see if my Lightning reservation ever actually turns in to a truck, but if...
Does it show <5% of production will be Pros or does it say <5% of those available to consumers will be Pro? I think there has to be significantly more Pros getting built for fleet orders. That chart appears to be the consumer allocation of total production which means it could get adjusted as...
You have a point, but the start button is still being used to start it, or turn it on in this case, just like an ICE vehicle. Could be like Tesla where you just get in, put it in gear, and go, but most are not like that (yet).
Nope. I've been following it since day 1 and while base prices are in line the XLT+ ER is considerably more expensive that the previous guestimates had it. I was expecting XLT+ ER to be a little less than the base R1T, not as much as the top Rivian trim level. ?āāļø
I am also anxious to see the Silverado info. Biggest pluses initially look to be faster charging and being the second version of the platform that started with the Hummer. A negative at this stage is no tax credit as GM ran out early 2020.
Iām sure lots of folks without garages will buy one. A garage is no more a necessity for an EV than it is for an ICE.
If true though it sure is a stupid way to save about $25 when building a $60k+ truck.
I want an optioned up XLT. Heated seats, surround view cameras, 9.6 kW capability are must-haves. Range is king is big battery is also a must. I have a Mach E and would much rather have the XLT screen and discrete controls than the 15ā display. Would only step up to Lariat if the price premium...
