There have been a few patents but really what that is is the hybrid option. This is really for those who don't want to deal with gas at all.

Well I got my reservation in. Configuration option opens in Fall. We will see what it looks like then. To be honest my Tundra gets me ~ 200 miles on freeway before the E clicks on. For me the 300 miles will be an upgrade.

I'm not sure this will be fully ready for towing with decent range. The technology is not there yet. But if it can do ~ 300 miles with the bed fully loaded that will work for me for now.

I just hope the range is a conservative estimate. After all its not been tested yet. Everything depends on the kwh size of the battery.
