Here's my new conspiracy theory: carbonized gray trucks aren't being shipped.
Even looking at inventory at dealerships, there's no carbonized gray trucks available...
This happens every once in a while in my Polestar 2 as well. First time it happened, I was certain I hit something because it was so violent, but it was just the car slamming on the brakes because there was a curb behind me.
Suppose it's better than actually backing into something but damn...
Saw some folks with 9/21 production dates finally went to built.
I'm still sitting in "In Production" hell. How many are left at IP for this group? Wondering if the truck will even show up before December at this point, being on the west coast.
Obviously dealers can play whatever games they want, but the general procedure for most dealers is that you are eligible for the incentives that were available during your order OR when you actually take delivery, just not both (unless your dealer wants to of course).
So if you ordered during...
lol I had the same experience as you, where they basically told me what the tracker said (In Production) and that I should just look at the tracker. Soo yeah guess I’ll just wait until the dealership calls me to tell me if it ever actually shows up because the chat certainly wasn’t useful.
I’ve got all the same dates as you, except it’s a Lariat ER and I’ve had absolutely no movement. Still showing In Production with the last update being September 22nd.
So welcome to the club; it’s seemingly not exclusive for any particular trim or option.
May just be the fact that you have to permanently modify the truck's frame.
That's a turn-off for me, personally. I'm fine with permanent frame modifications for significant suspension changes on a high performance vehicle, but for just mildly lowering the rear of a $80,000 pickup truck, it...
Just a data point update:
My 9/17 blend date, 9/21 "In Production" date is still listed as "In Production" as of this evening.
Since I asked my salesperson about the $7500 cashback incentive, I also asked if she had any better details than I'm privy to on Ford's website.
She said the truck is...
So I thought this was regional based on the fact that my Seattle zip code wasn't showing up on Edmunds.com for the incentive. But I asked my sales person this morning and she confirmed with the sales manager that my ordered Lariat ER does qualify for the $7500 incentive.
I’m definitely interested to see what happens as Eibach is at the top of my list for dropping the rear once the kit (and my truck) finally exist.
Just hoping they’re able to either have camber be sorted out, or really, ideally, have another spring option to only drop the rear a smidge
