I posted this to help people….
The documentation I have provided is straight from the source, and factual.
The procedure itself takes two minutes, and is simple enough for the average joe to complete, and that’s why I thought others would appreciate it.
You keep saying recalibration, that Is...
I earned the title “Ford master technician” through schooling and employment with Ford. I know that I’m right when I tell you your ccm is out of alignment, You don’t have to tell me this as it is not news to me.
Lol, how do you think I have access to this information…? Your dealers may not have all the information. The angle of the ccm will only get worse when towing with a level, as stated before the sensor is designed to be adjusted while truck is unloaded.
Grill 100% has to come out, i had my bumper off yesterday.
i have a 502a ecoboost so disregard some of the connections if it doesnt relate to you.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Remove the push pin retainers, position aside the air intake duct, and...
Im not sure what hard loaded means.
“Vehicle must be unloaded of all external cargo before performing cruise control radar alignment procedure” -as stated in the workshop manual.
This is factory information. If you think your module doesn’t need alignment, that’s on you.
I have a 502a and my headlights adjusted automatically, lower lariats will need adjustment. However my cruise control module was quite a bit out of adjustment, though no drivers assist functions seemed affected.
Do you have pictures? I’ve seen pretty trashed headlights restored. 302a headlights won’t be cheap! You’re local so I might be able to help. ??‍♂️
I'm writing this/ including this information because this could potentially be a safety issue for you while using adaptive/intelligent cruise control.
When I checked mine after a 2" level and 285/65r20's, my cruise control module alignment was off by a full bubble. It is a very easy procedure to...
Ford calls for the “cam bolt kit 3C333”, which is the same kit as the previous years.
On a side note, I installed a two inch level, and my caster/camber was still within oem specs.
Ohh! I’ll be keeping my take off’s.
There’s a few members on here(even in this thread) who have stuffed 285/65r20’s with and without levels and claimed no fitment issues with factory wheels.
They had mine local and I’ll be having them installed monday.
Yeah I was looking for Toyo O/C AT3 35x11.5r20, Discount called Toyo and it was a 12-16 week back order. Ended up settling on 285/65r20 KO2’s.
I paid $1717 out the door, with tire protections. I’m curious as to why yours were so expensive.
Im referring to the actual weight of the factory 20” tires.
What are the issues with LT tires you’re concerned with?Fuel economy?
A comparable (P) hankook is between 2600lbs and 2700lbs From what I’ve gathered. The pirelli’s are also in that ballpark.
I believe only the factory 18’s came with...
The factory 20’s come with 33” inch 43lb Hankook’s, OR 46lb Pirelli’s. Keep in mind these are both (P) tires. You’re asking A LOT for a sub 50lb tire that is two inches larger than stock.
Everyone needs pictures!
Chalk test your tires to see what pressure to run. There are too many variables involved for somebody to give you a definite answer.
