As someone who recently got the BS markup from dealership, I don't see any need of this so-called relationship. Their only purpose is to get more money out of your pocket. period.
For me, the ADM was not reflected online when I configured my order on Ford website (i.e., difference from MSRP is $0). Dealer only told me after I submitted the order to the dealership I selected and called them to check order status.
Using the same analogy above, one should also include the energy consumed to explore, dig, refine crude oil, and distribute gasoline to the gas tank. It is all about where you set the boundary for comparison.
Put an order in and was told by dealer that there is a $10,000 markup. I am about to give up Lightning entirely as I am tired of playing games with dealer.
